Wow, didn't expect to see that safety label on my new Perlick faucet boxes

This thread reminded me of a very interesting article I read recently: America's Real Criminal Element: Lead New research finds Pb is the hidden villain behind violent crime, lower IQs, and even the ADHD epidemic. And fixing the problem is a lot cheaper than doing nothing. By Kevin Drum |...

    1" couplers or nuts?

That last photo you show is not my setup. Mine uses a 1/2" welding spud for the ball valve. The photo you show is a pipe coupler soldered to a keg and to a electrical faceplate.

    1" couplers or nuts?

I originally tried that but couldn't get the solder right. The welding spud soldered on much better for me.

    1/4 barrel slim keg keggle

Yes, the flat aluminum bar is my volume marking stick. I marked lines with a scratch awl, and then stamped numbers on it. The soldered fitting for mounting the ball valve is called a welding spud. http://brewhardware.com/fittings/120-spuds The only drawback of this fitting is that it is...

Looking for good 5-6 gallon stainless stock pot

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/1-4-barrel-slim-keg-keggle-312015/ I built this electric kettle for small batches. Finding the keg was the hard part. But it is rock solid and easily boils 5 gallons with 2000W.

Will PID lose its memory if unplugged for months?

My Auber PID has been unplugged for months while I was on brewing hiatus. Do I need to run the auto-tune again, or will it have retained the parameters?

    1" couplers or nuts?

Here's some inside pics of my soldered fitting. The solder does flow into the gap. Not quite a "sanitary" weld/solder, but close enough for a boil kettle.

    Help With 220v Outlet

That is a 220V 20A receptacle. Probably for a big window unit air conditioner originally.

Add 120v breaker to a spa panel?

Thanks P-J. I did know that the 120v breaker would need to be GFCI. Actually, I'm considering a cheaper solution, since I don't need 240v. I'm thinking of using a small sub panel with a 20A 120v GFCI breaker, and connecting a dryer cord to that to feed it, then installing a 120v duplex...

Add 120v breaker to a spa panel?

Thanks. I'm fully aware of the issues with the Zinsco panel. Mine shows no signs of arcing or scorching. I plan to replace it in a year or so.

Add 120v breaker to a spa panel?

I have a clone of jkarp's Countertop Brutus. This system uses about 16.5 amps of 120V, so I need a 20A receptacle. But there are no 20A circuits in the basement of my "new" house. The breaker panel is a Sylvania/Zinsco panel, and new breakers are not available for this panel. So my plan is to...
