    Brownwood. We been in a hellacious drought, up until recently, we got about 10 inches of rain for the past few days, Lake Brownwood is expected to rise around 4 feet after the runoff stops. Much needed.

    Come on guys, any input would be great. My brew is not doing much of anything now. Should I just wait a little longer and see if it starts up again, or consider it a lost cause?

    I bought around 10# of seed wheat grain, the only thing I could find in my area, malted the grain and roasted it at 375F for 50 minutes, hopeing for an amber malt product.     Thank you all for the quick responses, I'll prob. just leave it alone for the next couple weeks an see what happens, and hope for the best. I will get me another hydrometer though.

    Assuming that everything is ok, would it hurt anything to add sugar to increase the alcohol content? The recipe said it was suppose to be only around 3.8% when finished, i'd like more is all.
