    Clear beer draught/closed transfer

I messed up the connection to the “out” tube. That was my problem. Totally freaked out for a minute and thought I messed up something with the clear beer system. Not the case. My own dumb mistake

    Clear beer draught system tubing

The closed transfer is taking forever for some reason with this system. Is that normal?

    Clear beer draught/closed transfer

Does anyone else’s closed transfer through this clear beer draught system take FOREVER?

Keg Dry hopping warm under pressure ?

Does beer carbonate slower at warmer temps or something? Normally I do 24 hours at 30 psi when the beer is cold and It’s fully carbonated

Keg Dry hopping warm under pressure ?

Ok. I couldn’t really follow their timelines. It didn’t make much sense to me. I guess I should plan on dry hopping warm in a keg but keeping the pressure ultra low then pull the pressure up to carbonate after let’s say three days per your suggestion?

Keg Dry hopping warm under pressure ?

I’ve been reading about dry hopping in a keg warm under pressure. What I don’t understand is that many of these scenarios car for warm dry hop under pressure for five days of 30 psi. If I do 30 psi cold, then my beer is carbonated in a day. How is anyone successfully dry hopping warm in a keg...

    Dry Hopping in Keg

Is anyone just throwing loose hops in? Figured you can do that if you have a floating dip tube

    Water profile opinions

Do you think that level of calcium chloride could make the beer “chalky”?

    Water profile opinions

So I’m a thousand percent confused right now. Is this profile bad? Is there a standard I should be shooting for with an neipa?

Not sure if this is the right forum but... thoughts on this profile for a 5 gallon NEIPA?

    Hop burn eliminated

I’ve been on here a million times to talk about hops burn in my New England IPAs and I never could really figure out why it persists. But I just had some homebrew leftover that I found in my refrigerator in a growler that had been sitting for around three weeks and the hop burn was gone and all...

    harsh NEIPA finish

Awesome. Thank you. I’ll send a message and start a convo soon. My next brew day won’t be for another month so should be enough time to grasp some basics

    harsh NEIPA finish

But if you can recommend a meter that won’t break my piggy bank and lend some tips Id be more than happy to ya e the assistance :)

    harsh NEIPA finish

None of that. lol. I wouldn’t know what to do with it.

    harsh NEIPA finish

Man I wish I could learn this water chemistry bit. I’m a monkey crashing cymbals when it comes to this stuff

    harsh NEIPA finish

So I’m actually using distilled water. But I use Waters brewer neipa mineral packs because I’m awful at chemistry myself

    harsh NEIPA finish

so I've posted multiple times about this topic. Probably due to my refusal to accept defeat. But every time I brew an NEIPA, I get very harsh finish. like a rough aspirin or chalk attribute to the beer that can overwhelm the actual good characteristics of the hops. So i'll take another...

    To dry hop or no?

That’s an interesting technique I haven’t tried. Less whirpool the a massive dry hop. Well see how this one turns out. Maybe I won’t do any dry hops at all just to see what that big whirpool addition will do then the next one do the big dry hop like you suggest

    To dry hop or no?

I do close transfer as well. But yeah, I agree. The o2 is tricky. The only way I’ve gotten past the burn is cold crashing. I was actually told by a brewer buddy of mine that owns a successful craft brewery that my neipas are too green. I should be sitting on them for 2 weeks. Gonna try...

    To dry hop or no?

Yeah. The dry hop shouldn’t be adding any ibus since it’s done on the cold side. I guess as far as lending flavor, I dumped a whole # of hops into the hopstand. How much more flavor can you get? Lol
