Danby DAR440BL Mini-Fridge Conversion to Kegerator...

my 5lb CO2 tank with regulator sits behind my two kegs in the middle. If you have a fat arm it will be hard to get in there to adjust the pressure. I am not sure how you would get the gauges to the door without moving the tank from the back to the front.

Danby DAR440BL Mini-Fridge Conversion to Kegerator...

I purchased the fridge at Costco as well. Model DAR044A1SLDD Could be very similar construction to the one you are asking about. Mine looks the same as in the pictures at the start of this thread except it has a faux stainless steel front. My kegs are slightly slimmer than the korney kegs...

Wyeast 1217-PC West Coast IPA source?

I am not familiar with stone because I live in Canada. But I believe I have tried it in the past. Mostly what I get from 1217 is a very clean ferment. No perceivable yeast imparted flavors. Allows the malt and hops to shine through. Assessment is subjective however and good on both sides is...

Oh. And I can't forget kolsch 2565. Another fav. Steady fermentation and produces good beers after as little as 10 days. Drinking a 2 week old one now. Supurb! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Wyeast 1217-PC West Coast IPA source?

Just tasted what was probably my 8th repitch of this yeast. Another IPA. It does not taste as clean as before. Temperatures were tightly controlled. Still good but isn't excellent. First time using comet hops though but I don't think that is the cause. I've heard more than 6 recycles and...

    Pin lock system

Thanks guys. I just noticed the two and three pins after your comments. Seems like on the actual posts everything is the same except for the collet being either for two or three pins. I get it now. I am disassembling this stuff for cleaning. Its dirty as F. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Pin lock system

I picked up a set of equipment from someone who no longer brews. I am giving the equipment to my buddy. I have never used pin lock. Do you know if it is color coded like it is for ball lock. Grey for gas black for beer? Looks like the guy used grey for beer and black and steel for gas. Thanks...

    Green bottles for homebrewing

I think incandescent is ok. The old style light bulbs where current passes through a filament. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Funky Doppelbock Sludge - What have I done?

Lol. Call it belgian! I can't drink that sour stuff. May just toss it. But I will wait and see. Your questions are good and I have no real answers other than this is how i did it the first time with awesome results and I was following something i read online. I decoct most of my beers. I am...

Funky Doppelbock Sludge - What have I done?

Yes. I grind very fine. It's always been ok in the past. Never had a stuck mash either. My hot and cold break is always good. I'm confused. I guess in a couple of weeks I'll know if it will thin out to normal levels. Thanks for the comments. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Funky Doppelbock Sludge - What have I done?

So I decided to try and recreate the best and most technically challenging beer i have ever made. A doppel bock that I brewed on Christmas Eve and tapped on May 24th. It was so absolutely lovely in all regards that i brewed it again yesterday. For some reason i have a very thick sludge like wort...

    Rogue pacman yeast

Always. Except for my last brew which was my first Irish red. Just pitched it right from the pack. I was underwhelmed with the performance. I am a big fan of over pitching. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Rogue pacman yeast

I am going to plan an IPA with this yeast. Problem is i can't control ferment temperatures. Anyone ferment at 70-73 F with this yeast? I'm either lager temp or ale temp. Is this yeast super active? Big krausen and ferments out fast? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
