New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

My house hazy is now soft-crashing for my second dryhop. First time brewing it on my new 3v system. This batch is Azacca, Bru-1, and heavy on El Dorado. Fifth gen 1318 yeast. Going to keg it this weekend and also brew a cream ale.

No idea, but you could gradually drop the pressure over time. If I cold crash outside of kegging, this is typically what I do.

What hops did you use, at what quantities, and timing in the process? The alcohol taste isn’t going to come from an early dryhop. What yeast did you use? What temps did you ferment at? What was your OG/FG?

I used calcium chloride, gypsum, canning salt, and epsom salt.

My personal preference would be to sub the 2 row with Golden Promise (only because I like it better for this style). Looks solid to me.

    What are you drinking now?

Thanks man! I got that glass from Burial's online store when they released it. Not entirely sure if it was a limited release or not.

I do this with every hazy I brew as well. It improves the experience of my beer so much doing this.

Tapped the latest hazy and it’s delicious. Made some slight modifications to my original grist and happy with the results. Bru-1, Azacca, and Sabro is a winning combo. Next batch, I’ll replace the Sabro with El Dorado. This beer is bursting with ripe pineapple, peach, and mango. It’s easy...

Pulled a sample last night to get a SG reading. Aroma is pineapple and slightly tropical. My first DH was 2oz Azacca, 2oz Bru-1, and 1oz Sabro. Been in the fermentor for nine days now. Gonna keg it later this week!

    My experience as well.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Had a successful brew day this weekend. First beer of 2021 with Bru-1, Azacca, and Sabro. Whirlpool had a lovely aroma. Slight deviation to my usual go-to grain bill. Mashed at 152. 69% Golden Promise 17% White wheat 12% Flaked oats 2% Acid malt Hops Bru-1 Azacca Sabro Yeast 3rd generation...

I typically use lower amounts on hops like Galaxy and Sabro. I'll be using it more of a complimenting hop tomorrow. And thanks! I'm using my go-to grain bill with a second generation London Ale yeast starter. Excited to see how this pairing goes. I originally was going to go with Columbus...

I have a pound of Bru-1 in the freezer. I've yet to brew with it. I am brewing a hazy tomorrow. I'm pairing Bru-1 with Azacca and Sabro. I'm excited to see how this goes. Anyone try this pairing before?

Interesting. The clearing up was not my experience. This was five weeks in the keg for me. Makes sense tho consideringso many variablescan influence it.

You’re not being a downer! This yeast brews delicious beers. That’s been my experience. I prefer Juice and 1318. I have six third-generation vials in my fridge. Those are what I prefer, but I’m cleaning out inventory.

I was able to squeeze a brew day in. I brewed one of my recipes that uses Citra, El Dorado, and Galaxy. Yeast is WLP095. Think I’ll keg it by the weekend. Makes me want to brew this weekend.

    Keg dry hop. Extraction time???

This. I keg hop all my NEIPA's. I leave them in the entire time. This has been up to six weeks. I never experience grassy notes.

I just made my second batch of Pale Ale. I noticed some transparent clouds floating around but not sure if its an infection or normal?

Nope. Nothing pathogenic can grow in beer. Your best bet would be to do some “googling” on the topic. Some people intentionally “infect” their beer.

Google infected beer! My advice would be to never just dump beer, even if it “looks infected” (unless you clearly see mold). Give it a taste, and give it some time.
