    Blue Moon Clone

Left is my extract. Right is blue moon. My wife gave it 7.5-8/10. So it's my best beer yet! It's very similar in tast. Maybe a bit maltier. Orange peel flavor is off a tad. I used sweet orange peel rather than valancia. Coriander is spot on. This batch won't last! For those interested for an...

    Blue Moon Clone

I just kegged my extract batch. My wife for the first time was surprised how good it was warm and uncarb'd. It went down to 1015 in 5 days with s04 @ 64ish F. Then brought up in a 70F room over 3 days and 2 more at 71-72F. The yeast cleaned up a lot of off flavours in the diacetyl rest. Now 3...

    Blue Moon Clone

Looking for an extract recipe. After looking at all recipes, what do you think of this? Less steeping wheat? Less of something more of another? Brew Method: Extract Style Name: Witbier Boil Time: 60 min Batch Size: 5.5 gallons (fermentor volume) Boil Size: 3.5 gallons Boil Gravity: 1.079...

    Blue Moon Clone

This is correct. It doesn't work in hot temps. You have to mix with cold fluid first. Then add to hot fluids. It should also be right on the box. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    Sulphur stink

Awesome tip. Never thought of that. I will have to get some O2 and a reg to hook my carb stone up to or do you suggest just a air pump?

    Sulphur stink

Occasionally when I brew a cider I get a late sulphur smell. I add nutrients to the yeast and hold a temp of 60 with us-04, notty, and kit cider yeasts. I generally add 2.5 tsp at the beginning and 1 tsp a week in followed by another at week 2. Any ideas? Should I be adding more in because the...

Liquor quicks super Kleer works best for me. It's a two part system that makes the worst of my ciders to be wine clear in 12-24 hours
