Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Forgot to ask. Have you tried to run a test wih a beer constant using your glycol setup? Just set up table sugar and bread yeast and run an experiment and take a look at the graph to see how the system cycles. How much drift in temperature you have before the controller switches on and off the...

Interesting. Are you running the latest build? I updated last week because I realized I was running on a much older version and I kept getting prompted to update. It updated fine and I’m currently logging a stout that is stuck and I can’t get it to restart so today I just switched it to the...

    Brew Bubbles: Web-Enabled Airlock

When we used counters in the lab we used red food coloring and the LED we used was 635nm (maybe 633nm). Yes we did have problems with multiple and also skip counting of bubbles or frequency of bubbles were extremely high. When I did initial testing with the design @LBussy and I started...

Generally, your probably right, but every persons liver is different. I have no clue about how one can assay the temporal resolution of alcohol matbolic rate vs drinking rate. Slow or fast..I'm sure someone has studied this. Interesting.

how long before trees produce apples?

The trees get full sun all day until about 5pm then they are shaded out from that time on.. I've never fertilized. I'm thinking the tree spikes? I'll look into that. Also noticed one tree has some kind of black spot on it. Does pruning help?

Eventually, the Alcohol is metabolized and stored as fat...especially if someone is drink these back one after the other. 5% contributes to the weight gain as well. The only difference I see is the 45 calories and the 2g carbs. A friend stopped by last weekend and brought some Cape Line, the...

White claw.. Is it really that good or marketing hype?

The title says it all. I've never drank it, but I read an article last night that the company is clean out of the drink and can't keep up. Also its more popular than American IPA and apparently some how even guys drink it in public, so it's not a "girls" drink (whatever that's supposed to...

    Shrinking Beer

I guess if its something they want to spread around more or make more available, but I've seen stuff on tap that was not all that special at 6.5% being poured in small snifters because I think some level of marketing and money making is at the root. I might be wrong but at the end of the day...

    Shrinking Beer

Not every place I go does this but yes in my area the same thing has been going for a year or two now. Same excuse because of high Alcohol content. BS excuse to make extra bank. Also it's funny that at one place I can get a Dogfish 90 min in 10 oz snifter and the same beer in the 12oz bottle...

Are closed transfers worth the extra effort?

I just transfered tonight with that filter inline but my system uses no poppets I use a straight through system that I slide into the keg as it transfers under pressure. I usually don't have much material getting though because of my design but now the filter adds that extra layer of protection...

Now that sounds like you have a very complex well thought out system. Yeah I would live to see pics. Any idea is welcome. I currently have an old book shelf with glass doors with most stuff in ziplock bags. I do have one plastic bin with some bigger items. I'm looking for a unifying system.
