I think you should consider crate training the dog if you don't trust it in the house when you're gone. In most situations, animals prefer to be inside the house rather than outside, and leaving the dog out there all day while you're at work could be cruel. Crate training is a great method...

I will wear my slippers (with rubber soles) outside of the house, but the most adventurous they get is a trip to the compost pile or the mail box. I don't sleep in pajamas, but I put them on when I get home. It's how I keep my work clothes from getting covered in dog hair. But I'm never too...

So.... pooing on your hops is bad for them. There is a certain (extreme) sect of the composting "community" that compost human and pet waste, and the general consensus is that it has to be composted for AT LEAST 2 years to be safe to grow consumable crops in.

I can get away with 1-2 pint glasses of apfelwein and feel ok the next day, but more than that and it's over.

The only brew that I've ever done while smashed ended up taking 4 days to start fermentation and I was ASTOUNDED that it wasn't infected. And that was extract. Now I take it very easy while brewing.

I usually use chuck and cut it into centimeter sized pieces. First I fry my bacon (for grease), then the beef in batches, then aromatics, then deglaze with beer and add spices.

You may consider posting this in the cooking forum. I've found ground meats to be the death of chilis, and I'm also sort of a purist and avoid beans, but other than that, your recipe looks tasty. I also use beer as my liquid, and use bacon in mine. :-p
