Want to try creating a recipe...

GA tiger. Where are you at in GA? I know there are many all grain brewers in and around the state who would be willing to help with a first all grain brew.

Brewed 150 gallons of beer last night.

Seems like a potential connection for dirt cheap grains and hops

Ok, I need to settle this.

Hell try an IPA at around 60-70 F... It will taste completely different and most of the time much better than cold

    What a brew night...

Ya... rain just started again. Just looked at my volumes and I guess I did my math wrong or maybe I have been boiling the hell out of it but it looks like it is time to start my boil schedule:rockin:

    What a brew night...

So I missed my pre-boil gravity by like .02 pts. I ran off the calculated extra to boil down but that has been going for an hour and will have to go for 2 more. Meanwhile a thundershower came through while i was inside for 10 min. My pots were uncovered. This wont cause an issue right? Rain...

    What is this called?

Thanks for all the replies. Good to know that it is called a pressure transfer. To be honest, I absolutely hate the auto-siphon. It is a pain to clean it thoroughly. It works by you pumping it, two plastic parts rubbing together with a cheap o-ring sorta thing which after multiple uses will...

    What is this called?

So I was thinking that i can start a siphon by using compresses air like CO2. My idea is a dip tube to within .5" of the bottom of a carboy up through a bung and to a siphon hose. then have a second hole in the bung with a tube just into the headspace to which i can hook my CO2 line off my reg...

    Small clear flip top bottles.

I saw some at a seafood restaurant down by me the other day. They had flavoured dipping sauces in them at the tables. Check restaurant suppliers and if I find my self going by there I will ask where they got them.

    Stone Barleywine

It is bitter but is also very malty. They are more of a session beer where you only have one over an hour or so. Barleywine takes getting used to.
