Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Clone - Straight from Lagunitas

Very good beer, but haven't done a side by side. I'm glad I made 10 gallons because it's going fast.

Lagunitas Hop Stoopid Clone - Straight from Lagunitas

Finally brewed this one today. I substituted The hopshot, nugget and Chinook additions with Galena pellets because I have a ton on hand. It's bubbling away like crazy and smells amazing. I'll be sure to post impressions in a month or so.

    Fresh Squeezed IPA (Deschutes Inspired)

After subscribing to this thread almost a year ago, I finally brewed a 13 gallon batch of this on Saturday. Can't wait to try it in a month or so.

    Hop Bursting with Galena

It turned out great. It's more of a "session IPA" which is what I was going for. Just malty enough with a nice pine/citrus balance. I'll be making it again.

    Hop Bursting with Galena

I went in a slightly different direction and came up with this recipe. I just kegged it this past weekend and the uncarbed samples were excellent. It was so tasty that I may post it in the recipes section. Galena & Columbus IPA Method: All Grain Style: American IPA Boil Time: 60 min Batch...

    Hop Bursting with Galena

I just stumbled across a Diamond Knot IPA clone that uses both of these hops. Guess I'll be making that!

    A few pics. So tasty

    Northern Brewer Grapefruit Sculpin clone

Brewed this about 6 weeks ago and it's fantastic. I ended up soaking 1.5 oz of zest (3 large grapefruits) in 4 oz of vodka for 2 days before DH. This is an IPA that I'll always have on tap.

    Hop Bursting with Galena

I have a few pounds of Galena hops that I've been sitting on for a few years. I'd like to use them soon and thought about creating an IPA using them and maybe Columbus. I would also like to hop burst to use them up and get a ton of flavor and aroma. What are your thoughts on the Galena/Columbus...

    Northern Brewer Grapefruit Sculpin clone

I'm not sure, but I plan on using 3 oz of fresh peel.

    Northern Brewer Grapefruit Sculpin clone

I brewed this yesterday and subbed the Cara 20 for 20L, since that's all I had on hand. After the 0 min addition, I scraped the hops off the side of my kettle and gave it a 30 second stir before cooling.

    Northern Brewer Grapefruit Sculpin clone

I think I'll try this recipe and take your suggestion. I assume that you grated the grapefruit peel before soaking it in vodka?

    Fresh Squeezed IPA (Deschutes Inspired)

I plan on making this one very soon.

OP, how did this turn out? I have 3 lbs of Galena and planned on doing a SMASH recipe this weekend.

    Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout

I finally tried my chocolate oatmeal stout. Its very tasty, but the color is a tad bit lighter than I expected. The flavor is awesome, but I've honestly never tried the commercial version so I can't compare the two. Next time, I may up the chocolate malt and/or roasted barley to 6oz.

Banana Ale AG Recipe using Banana Extract?

I was recently cleaning my fridge and found 8 ounces of banana extract. I'm a fan of Wells banana bread beer and was wondering if anyone has made something similar using banana extract and 2 row? I've searched all over, but I have not found a recipe that specifically uses banana extract, other...

    Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout

I made an AG version of this on Saturday. I'll report back next month with a quick review. I can tell you that the color doesn't look light at all. It's a dark beer.

My first SMaSH Brew (2-row and amarillo)

I made this SMASH recipe for my first go at all grain. It turned out very well. Thanks OP.
