    Bar Build Part 2: 8-tap Through-the-Wall Keezer

Hardwater is typically good for brewing. If you are concerned with water quality it may be the Chlorine or Chloromine your city uses to treat the water. A couple of options would be to buy purified, spring, or RO water in the store and harden accordingly with brewing salts. Otherwise, you can...

looking for ideas/examples of through the wall taps

Guys, it's been a loooooong time since I've been on HBT. Twin 2 1/2 year old boys and a new job in a new state has left me little time to brew lately. However, my new place has a finished basement and behind our bar is a storage area. I'm just looking for ideas how people have stored cold kegs...

Blue Digital temperature gauge for Keezer

Badge, you are still going to need a controller. Is there a reason you want just the display and not just get a controller that has a nice display?

    Keezer...now it's finished. What a great son!

Mtnridr, what do you have as a temp controller? It looks nice incorporated into the wood. How did you wire it? Can you post a few more pics of that? I just have a johnson controller that dangles off the back of my keezer.

    Coffin cooling question...

yikes. if i'm only drinking 1 beer, i grab a bottle from the fridge. if i'm have a few from the keezer i pour about 2 ounces into a cup and throw that - lines and tap are now chilled and good for the night. I usually dont like the first ounce or two anyway as it may be stale

    Coffin cooling question...

Just curious, but what is the reasoning for cooling the coffin? I see just about everyone doing this. I have no cooling to mine and have been running it for 1.5 years.

fastners on the inside of chest freezer?

i was thinking making a little shelf out of cedar and attaching it to that. Might make the interior smell a bit better too.

fastners on the inside of chest freezer?

What do people use to attach things (hoses, regulators, etc) to the inside of their Keezers and chest freezers? i have a manifold that just lays in mine and takes up room. I'm worried about causeing permanent damage to the keezer.

    My Keezer

Can you post a pic of those half clamps? I'm not sure what they are. Is the screw part pretty small so you didn't have to go to deep into the freezer? Did you use caulk or anything around them to maintain a seal.

    My Keezer

    Keezer/Fermentation Chamber

I dont think it would wear the freezer out any more or less. many keezers last years and thats with old freezers.

    Very basic keezer build question

you will also (likely) have to figure out how you are going to install and account for some sort of drip tray.

    Very basic keezer build question

I dont have plans but you can look at my keezer build - lots of pics. i did a coffin. i think you have a good idea making the coffin as it will work if you ever upgrade to wood paneling. just make your box deep enough to accomodate your shank, tail peice and hose. Make sure it's tall enough for...

    Another keezer build thread

My keezer has been going strong a few years. 1/4" wood directly against the freezer all around except the freezer greating. Wood has very low insulating value and shouldnt cause much of an issue.

Looking sharp man! Nice job on the inside. You could have told the SWMBO that you will assemble it indoors and when it's complete it would go outside. (mine got too big to fit out the door).

    Keezer Help, Internal Hinges

coffins are awesome - and can be relatively cheap compared to some of the multipe faucette tower and they go well if you trim your keezer with wood. Here's mine
