    Creamy is moving

Get prepared for a long story. Just before Christmas 1900 of my closest friends and I were schlitz canned from our jobs. Bad. Severance and immediate rehire elsewhere (not even two weeks off) for more money. Good. Being asked to leave apartment because worthless landlords were "moving...

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

Here is a short list of my favorite things about JAOM: 1) I dont spend all that much money making a batch. 2) I need very little specialized equiptment to make it 3) I dont have to stress out too much about fermentation temperatures 4) I dont have to check OG or FG (I know that it will indeed...

    Joe's Ancient Orange Mead

Plus I think youd get all the stuff you didn't want from the old fruit... like bitter pith flavor and less of the stuff you want like orange flavor. Now as for the yeast lees and raisins I GUESS you could leave them in there if you added more raisons and yeast (I bet a lot of those yeasties...

What did I cook this weekend.....

Is that a hunted rabbit or one purchased at the butcher's? I'm particularly impressed and pleased that you used the whole rabbit (or at least got two dishes out of it). Did you make croquettes out of the livers, and are you implying the apfelwein went into the soup?

    Any Linux/Chromebook experts?

This was an appreciated offer but unfortunately I think the point is moot. The game I wanted to play on the chromebook likely requires a graphics card. The device is useful for all sorts of other things though, and it being feather light and quick to boot is a nice thing.

If you bathe the banana slices in lemon water pre-dehydration do they still brown?

Have you heard the song for people who are interested in animal group sex? It goes "this lamb is your lamb, this lamb is my lamb...."

New Joke thread. Let's keep it reasonable

Man walks into a bar and sits down. "My good man, please bring me a fine martinus" The bartender smiles patiently. "Dont you mean martini?" "Well, just the one for now and if I want another I'll ask."

What did I cook this weekend.....

This reminds me soon I have to make my cream of asparagus soup. The "cream" part is actually russet potato. Lovely.

What did I cook this weekend.....

All kidding aside I think I prefer green asparagus to white as white tends to have less flavor (on purpose). Fun fact, there are people in Amsterdam who have never had green since local farms source so much white.

What did I cook this weekend.....

If white asparagus were an animal instead of a plant, fewer of us would eat it due to the cruelty factor ;). Hard to get too sad on behalf of an asparagus though, even if they are forcefully denied sunlight so as to inhibit chlorophyll production.

    Tots

Potato preference? Tots are good with any sauce or dressing thick enough to not permeate the crevices, for example cheese food. If I have as gorgeous med rare steak that's extruding juices I want crispy shoestring fries. Right now I'm in a British pub food phase so I want shepherd pie all the...
