To mix, or not to mix?

It did, but I tasted it this time and there was no trace of those flavors. It just tasted like watered down kolsch.

To mix, or not to mix?

I brewed 5 gallons of Kölsch, and filled them into the five 1 gallon carboys I had on hand. The last one I only managed to fill halfway so I topped off with RO water figuring it would all even out when I kegged (the original gravity was on the high side) I tasted the one I topped off, and it...

    Vegetable taste???

Okay so I brewed a 5 gallon batch of Kölsch a week ago, and put them into five 1 gallon carboys (I know... but it’s all I had) While I was checking their gravity I was tasting the left over wort my turkey baster couldn’t get to. All of them taste great.... except for one... this one I was only...

    Fermentation Fridge

I have a fridge on bottom, freezer on top style refrigerator I’m going to turn into another fermentation fridge with a temp controller. Will it just change the fridge temperature, or the freezers temperature as well?

    Time to repitch?

I tasted a sample from the carboy in the second picture. No bad flavors or after tastes. Tatstes like beer.

    Time to repitch?

The temperature was at 58°F these past few days. After I raised it to 62°F over night I ended up with this, this morning. Has fermentation finally started or is this wild yeast... *second picture is blurry but those white patches aren’t mold, they look like little groups of spit bubbles.*

    Time to repitch?

I pitched the yeast in the starter, left it for the 36 hrs, then pitched it into my cooled wort. There was no activity in the starter but people had said that they usually get no krausen in their starters so I went with it. Now the airlock on my primary fermenter bubbles, but no change in...

    No airlock activity from lager

Do you see any krausen forming or little bits of yeast rising to the surface? If there’s still no activity after 48-72 hours take a hydrometer reading to see if fermentation is taking place.

    Time to repitch?

Long story short I ordered yeast (WLP029) from Homebrew Supply, and FedEx took the scenic route to get here. After 5 days I got my yeast. The cold pack, and vial were very warm. But I decided to give it a shot anyway. Made a starter, pitched it in, here we are three, and a half days later...

Any Tips For Creating My First All Grain Recipe?

I've already brewed all grain 6 times. Now I'm just slowly easing into created my own version of my favorite Hefeweizen. It won't be my first all grain batch, but the first I have created.

Any Tips For Creating My First All Grain Recipe?

So far I've determined I like my IBU's between 13-18 and an ABV of 5%. I have a preference for Weizens but all the recipes seem to be all too similar. What can I do to set mine apart?
