    where to find cheap thermostat?

    I'm looking for the plug-in type thermostat for use with a fridge. Austin Homebrew has one but it's $65, would like to spend a good bit less if possible. Anyone have any sources?

    Too hot to brew?

    Well summer is about on us here in Texas, hit 90* today. I just bottled a blonde ale and want to start a pale ale but I'm worried that my house will be too warm for it? Due to cost of electricity I keep my a/c set at about 80-82 degrees. Do I have to take the next 4 months off from brewing???? :(

    One from Texas

    new member to board from Texas, just north of Austin (Austin Homebrew is my local store :D). Brew ales, want to try a lager if my buddy gets his freezer/kegerator setup done :)

    Beer yeast and septic systems

    It certainly can't hurt. Rid-X etc is merely enzymes which pretty much is what yeast is, anything biodegradable down there is going to feed the yeast You probably have a very healthy septic tank :D
