Troegs Hop Back Amber Ale - WOW!

Since this thread just got bumped and it's kind of about PA beers... I have to plug Stoudt's. I've tried all the PA brews and I think Stoudt's has the best lineup... every one of their beers is great. They may not be the BEST of the style, but they are all way above average. You can't go...

    Let's talk coffee...

And yes, Aerobie is that same company that makes all those cool frisbees and throwing disc toys. The coolest thing about it for me is that the inventor is active on the CoffeeGeek forums and has answered 102 pages worth of questions about his product...

    Let's talk coffee...

Whenever there's talk of coffee, I have to pitch the Aerobie Aeropress. It's kind of like a french press, but makes a smoother cup of coffee with less fines. It's my favorite way to make coffee. Plus it's only $25, can't beat that... http://www.aerobie.com/Products/aeropress_story.htm

    Sly Fox Brewery

I was so close to buying a case of their Pikeland Pils or Phoenix Pale Ale this weekend, but I've never had it so I went with Dead Guy Ale. I'm hoping they will be at the Beer Fest I'm going to next month, I'd love to try their stuff.

    Best day of the year.

Keep me updated on how Jeff Samardzija does... I thought he had a better future in the NFL but maybe I was wrong...

    Nast beers

I got a case of Yards, a variety pack, and the whole case was bad. Half the bottles were gushers. I was in college at the time though so I choked them down... but I have never bought Yards since. Kind of a shame because a lot of people are telling me they are good now...

    Limoncello

I bought some when I was in Sorrento, it really is very good, but it has a serious kick to it!

I love that Idlewild album, although I think In Remote Part is my favorite one.

    Top 5 obscure albums

I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet... I'm usually all over these music discussions. Of the top of my head: Neil Young - Prairie Wind (video) A word about this... I know he's not exactly an obscure artist but I'm not sure how many people realize that he continues to make...

Alternative Grain Beer Hearty Rye Ale

Here's my Hearty Ale recipe... it's a four grain ale with barley, wheat, rye, and oats. It's a great session beer and I'm probably going to make it my house ale. The brewing method is a mini-mash in the brewpot... the Austin Homebrew method. Recipe: Hearty Ale Style: American Wheat or...

    Homebrew Supply Websites

OK I updated the first post with the new shipping for AHS and MoreBeer. I didn't go through and add any more HBS shops to the list though, because this thread has pretty much exploded with everyone listing their own local shops, when the focus here is really supposed to be online shops.

    Charleston, SC

I'm going to Charleston, SC at the end of this month on business and I could use a few tips on things to do, places to eat, places to drink good beer, etc. I think there's a few of you from the area on here, and I'm sure a bunch more of you have visted. Anyway, any info you can provide is...

    Lancaster Brewing Milk Stout

I've had one sampler case of theirs and that was enough for me. Their beers aren't bad, but if I'm going to drink local I'd rather have Stoudt's.

    Old food.

I prefer my pizza cold right out of the fridge the next day... of course I am blessed with a great pizza place near me, which I am discovering is a luxury that few really have.
