Is today the day that baseball died?

I saw that today, the guy makes a very believable argument that Bonds' "armor plating" on his leading elbow could have something to do with his near-perfect swing.

Is today the day that baseball died?

Once all these steroid-era guys retire I think the game will get back to its old ways. You're already seeing it with a lot of the young teams.

    Spider Bite

That second video was also gross, but somehow the first one seemed worse...

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

I have the feeling that someone has a stash of apple juice on the shelf at home just waiting to lay claim to the 2000th gallon. Maybe we should let EdWort have the honors... :)

Hahah I like the epic Star Wars music towards the end... And yeah that thing was nasty but I had to watch to the end...

    Adjusting a propane burner?

If I read my burner's manual correctly, you should have the air intake nearly closed when lighting, then open it fully once the flame is going. The flame you are using should be blue, or invisible if you are outside in the sun. So I usually leave the air intake just open, turn on the tank...

State College, PA Brew Expo - July 28th

It's definitely worth it... I would venture to say that it's the best Beerfest in the northeast.

Nobody else wants to chime in with their impressions of the expo?

State College, PA Brew Expo - July 28th

I was at the first session and didn't see those guys, so I'm thinking they weren't there at all. Kind of a shame, I really wanted to try Brooklyn's stuff... never had it...

State College, PA Brew Expo - July 28th

Did you notice that a few breweries were missing? I didn't see Appalachian, Great Lakes, Brooklyn, Clipper City, or Oskar Blues. Also some of the beers listed on the site didn't make an appearance... like Unibroue Ephemere Cassis or Mardesous. Oh also, those gluten-free beers actually...

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

Good point! Who knew there were so many varieties... and then when I finally chose one they didn't have enough in that one brand!

State College, PA Brew Expo - July 28th

So I was at the early session... much busier than I remember from last year. A good number of new brewers to keep things interesting... my brother and I agreed that our favorite of the show was newcomer Abbey Wright. I couldn't stop drinking their Bittersweet Porter, it was great. DFH also...
