Help With An Imperial IPA Recipe

Thanks for the comments. The liquid malt actually seems to help it retain some of the sweet finish - which I like a bit. I've got a red in the works for the "yellow fizzy" drinkers. AND their brown will be bottled next week. BREW ON!!!!

    Testicular Cancer

I know this sounds a bit off, but I hoisted a red for you. No brown around- it's in the secondary. A co-worker had the same problem last year he's fine now. Early detection is the key!!!! You'll be fine.

    Stone brews

They do have a pretty intense filtration system. I LOVE that the all taste "stoney". It's hard to notice so much with their really dark beers like the Russian Imperial, though.

Help With An Imperial IPA Recipe

I'm weeding out some leftover ingredients before I go and buy stout supplies. How does this recipe look? I'm pretty the only one who drinks anything but "yellow fizzy beer", but I'm working on my converts. (This would be for a 2.5 Gallon Batch.) 3 lbs Light Dry Extract (8.0 SRM) Dry...

    Stone Brewery Tour

Great pictures. I met Greg K while I was there. The pix are part of my profile. In fact I was wearing my New Belgium shirt and he didn't even say a thing. I had a two person tour when I went last Spring and I was so busy drooling upon myself that I didn't think to ask a single question. I...

    #*&%!!! Airlock Fell Off Carboy

I wish that I was soooooo calm. I even check my beer in the middle of the night (3a.m. to be exact - that's when I feed the 5 week old.) It should be fine. In fact it will probably be the best beer that you have ever brewed.

    What are you drinking now?

I've got a 2006 Double Bastard Ale from Stone Brewery. At 10% I'm already getting toasted and I still have a third of the bottle to go.

    Stone 10th Anniversary Recipe Help

Now, I am a self admitted hophead. I know that there are special 10 Step Programs that I can attend to address this problem, but I WON'T go there. So, last night I had one of my Stone Brewery's 10th Anniversary Ales from last year, and it was beyond awesome. I would love to try and clone it...
