How long after ordering these did you get your final invoice with shipping? I ordered on Tuesday and immediately received an order confirmation but have received nothing since.
I ended up ordering 2 of the TA4 controllers from eBay. I haven't finished building my system yet so I can't comment on how they work, but for on/off control of a burner I see no reason why they won't. They have an alarm which I also intend to use. Price was right. Got 2 shipped to me for...
Seems like a lot going on in an IPA - Rye, Ginger, Coriander, Lemon Peel. I'm down with the rye as I love a good Rye IPA, but not sure about the other items. They seem out of place. To each his own, but it seems a bit "busy".
Not sure how well that would work. Would the beer in the tube stay mixed with the beer in the fermenter? Doubtful. It's probably going to get ganky from the yeast as well making it hard to read the hydrometer.
Plenty of people are using three of the 10 inch burners for their stands. Not really overkill, especially at low pressure. I'll be using two 10" and one 6" for the mash tun.
Not sure if you're talking about my comment, but I'm not attacking anyone and didn't see anyone else do it either. My comments are out of concern for someone's safety. From the wording of the question it sounded like there was a serious lack of understanding of electricity.
6. Those are 1/2" couplings welded to the frame to use that section of square tubing as a gas manifold to supply the three burners. If you are confident in your welding and test for leaks it's one way to go. Some are adamantly opposed to this method.
A 120V cord has three wires - hot (black) / neutral (white) and ground (green). No, these aren't all the same thing. All three need to be wired to separate bus bars or terminal strips.
I picked up three of these for my "bus bars"...
