    Brewometer... Any idea/feedback on this?

    Brewometer... Any idea/feedback on this?

hmm... well you do like your toys so I can see the appeal. I just bought a hand held refractometer and use the online calculator to adjust for final gravity alcohol. You do realize you still need to get a sample with one of the dropper thingies right? Anyhow... they have the refractometers on...

    Keggle Cutting

i'm really wishing I had taken the stems out of the kegs before i cut them now. I would like to use the cut out tops as lids but its no where near as easy to get the stems out without the keg for leverage.

DIY Drip Trays - "The Fellas"

huh... thats um... well sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and a beer tower is not a phallic symbol.:drunk: looks like you made the tower too eh? NICELY done. As I have two taps already i'm totally going to use that idea, thank you.

    Keggle Cutting

yep... what they said about the cutting and the drilling. It really goes fast once you start and is pretty fun. Now... don't get stuck at 3/4" drilling like I did and think you can just ream it out... I need to get another drill bit or something, I wrecked some of the threads on one of the...

    Keg cutting

just cut mine with an angle grinder as well and then ground them down with a flapper sander with 80 grit and it is smooth as a baby's butt.:p you should invest in the flapper or just some sand paper as dude suggests because you'll be reaching in alot and its nice to have the smooth edge.:D...

    Bucket HLT

I believe I know the one you are thinking of and the idea behind it is that the more surface area of heat exchanger you can pack into a smaller volume of HLT to heat up the more efficient the heat exchange will be. I have been thinking this is a great idea if you want to use standard household...

    US Plastics Fermentor

okay so... the thing is that yes these can be used and: 1. It doesn't seem like mixing polys should be a problem as long as you use something food grade. 2. It does not matter too much where you put this for the same reason it does not matter much where you put the valve for your keggle. That...

NO more new items for me.

well... we went out to celebrate my getting my national counseling license at the tap room last night... after looking at the prices for the beer and comparing them to mine I don't think SWMBO will complain if I get some more toys for a while. Her comment was "geez this is more than you spent on...

    Parts list for keggle fitting...

so... no problem with brass in the pot then? expansion/contraction issues with the copper/brass? I think yuri is right a stainless coupler welded in is the way to go... but it really doesn't save that much if you can use other types of parts as you can easily get the weldless parts you'd need...

Sight tube - Kettle or HLT?

I just went through the same revelation that I don't really need a site glass or thermometer on the kettle as I'll be using a counterflo chiller. Don't really need a site glass in the mashtun either... and yuri pointed out the problems with a static thermometer in the mashtun (especially if it...
