Show us your element housings/pots. How did you do it?

Just a thought. These elements are made for household water heaters. They screw in with just a gasket - no soldering. Even over-zealous electric safety codes are fine with it that way.

Haven't had the time to watch yet. Is your review style really good? Up there with the masters? Do you go on about how awesome your beer is while showing us your tiled table top?

Why do large (10+ gallon) batches?

I like to brew, so multiple 5 gallon batches = more brewing time than fewer 10 (or more) gallon batches. I don't have an unlimited budget, so I'm already near the max of what I can brew. I like to drink what I brew too much, 5 gallons doesn't seem to last very long. I'd probably end up going...

Beer brewers have become a nervous bunch....heh

Yeah, but how long has good beer been made? Nobody is saying that you can't make beer by just throwing the ingredients together, just that to make better beer requires a bit more attention to detail. Not all of us make beer just to get drunk, some of us like to make the best beer we possibly can.

Do we "think" too much about brewing beer?

Depends on if you just want to make beer that tastes good, or if you want to be able to make the best beer and make it the same beer over and over.

    Sterilock - Waterless antibacterial airlock

So, I sent an email asking about the "non-oxidized" air thing. Here is the prompt response I got back: "The nanoseal is reactive to pressures above standard atmospheric pressure. This means, during fermentation, escaping Co2 from the fermentation process is greater than the external (room)...

What does 2 row mean when you hear the term 2 row malt?

Found this somewhere on the web, BeerAdvocate, I think: Michelob (typo in the below ad, apparently) at the time was all-malt, as were a number of the others according to testimony given by Adolphus Busch before Congress in 1903, in which he stated "... the beer of this company is made...
