Thanks to the OP for asking this question because i had some things ive been wondering about star san and this helped. I had a question too...how long will star san hold its sanitizing properties? I was curious because it seems handy to have it in a spray bottle for when you run hydrometer tests...

So just to clarify...the amount of water that would come into contact with the thermometer while cleanin the fermenter wont mess it up?

Cool. Thanks for the answers! I guess the stick on therms almost seemed too easy and since they came with a kit i guess i just assumed there was better out there. I like that theyre pretty cheap too! Do most people just cover them with duct tape to protect them?

What do people use to easily measure temps during fermentation? Are the sticker crystal therms relevant or are they beat used in combo with another thermometer? Thanks!!

Cool..never heard of PBW so that sounds pretty awesome. As far as my kettle i only have a 5 gallon for now. Id love to get a fridge for temp control. Ive read some things on here about it and it sounds pretty sweet. Ill have to look into that in the future. Thanks!!
