    Thick mouthfeel with extract brewing

Thanks everyone! I brewed the milk stout with maltodextrin, lactose, and oats. I am enjoy a hearty stout with a heavy mouthfeel and thick chocolate notes. I will also add that my other extract batches aren't super thin. They are probably closer to their style. I was just wanting to know...

    Show us your SWMBO...

Haha. Yeah, it was definitely not how I envisioned my life. What 14 year old boy is thinking about long term life plans?? None! We just happened to start dating when we were young and became best friends. 7 years later we were still together and married. Crazy how life happens.

Haha. Well, we started dating when we were 14. Sadly, neither of us have gotten any taller since then : ( Every time someone we don't know sees a wedding ring on her finger they ask how old she is. They can't believe that she is almost 22. I guess she will love that when she is 40+.

Making sure orange peel is sanitary

I am just about to transfer my Belgian Wit into the secondary with the zest of 2 different types of oranges. I know that most people let the zest sit in a solution of vodka in the fridge for about a week. I was wondering if Malibu rum would work as well. Does anyone know if this would be an...

    orange/blood orange recipe

A teaspoon is a good starting point. Generally that is all that Is needed to have the taste be there without overpowering. However, you could always use fresh cinnamon sticks in the secondary to add more flavor after you've tasted a sample.
