    How did i do ?

Not bad at all. I just scored a complete start up kit this week. New 1 bottling bucket w/spigot and bottle filler 1 glass 6.5 gallon carboy 2 air locks 1 stainless racking cane and tubing 2 drilled stoppers...

Who's got a good sampling routine?

The only metal trays I found at the HD store were formed on a brake so they wont hold liquid. Also they were a little short to get a racking cane in (my objective). I was able to find a wallpaper tray at a Jerry's home improvement store. I'm sure Home Depot or Lowes would have them. As...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I'm boiling up another mirror pond clone this weekend. The wife and I did one last weekend and had a couple of problems with my bucket fermentor (blew the lid off, twice) ;-( So I picked up a new carboy and kit and started again. It's kind of ridiculous to contaminate your beer in fear of...

Bucket lid popped off and brew in airlock.

I had that happen yesterday. Luckily it didn't make a mess and it also gave me an excuse (for the wife) to buy another carboy. :-)

    What's your profession?

Wow. Am I the only heavy equipment operator here?? 20 years in and counting. The last 7 for the government. Also, weekend crew chief on a blown alcohol AA gasser.

    New Guy in Oregon

Hey all, new to the forum and fairly new to brewing (5th batch is fermenting). I live in Harrisburg and work out of Corvallis. A real pain being a Duck!! I'm new enough to brewing that I still drink a lot of mistakes, but not enough to discourage me! Looking forward to my current beer...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Same as me on the mirror pond clone! Mash tun is in my future as well. Although many lessons in brewing can be learned in biab I'm sure. Looking forward to the finished beer and more technical process, cheers!

    Dry hopping

Hi all, new to the forum but I've been snooping around here for a while. I'm a rookie home brewer so don't bash me to bad! My question is when to dry hop. I use a secondary fermentor and am not sure if I should add hops to the primary or secondary. The hops are one ounce of cascade...
