    He has 17lbs of grain! Definatly complain. I would consider investing in my own mill if I was using that much.....but I can also buy them bulk right downtown.

    I got mine out a couple months ago(all 4) I had them put me out.....that was a good drug whatever they used. I felt great also....i took one vicodin that evening and was eating bratwurst 2 days later.

    Most suppliers have a mill at the store, or if you buy them online they will crush them for you.

    Yes they do.....all grains need to be milled. You can also crush them with a rolling pin or something similar, but if you have access to a mill, use that.

    I almost bought the mlb.tv thing to watch them online. I check the scores all the time...at work or at home. My pitching staff is killing me again this week. Next week should be pretty good though, considering I have 10 starts if no rainouts screw me up.

    I always make starters with liquids and ive had good luck lately. Usually starts within 12-24 hrs. I had one start within about 5 hours a few brews ago. It was blowing off by morning. Give it more time before you worry. Id give it 48 hrs before repitching

    dont worry at all....Ive had fermentations complete overnight. Its probably almost done fermenting....Im guessing this is your first brew......RDWHAHB.....or a micro.

    Should putting them in the fridge prevent them from blowing up anymore? I have had a few of them and they are a little over carbed.

    Yeah, not sure why theres a screw in there. Ive used them twice so far and had no trouble with carbonation.

    I got home today and found my 2nd bottle bomb ....1st was 2 weeks ago , same batch of beer. I have them down in the basement where its around 60 or so.

    LHBS prices

    pretty fair prices. I think my lhbs just raised their prices on their grains to 1.50/lb. I buy stuff online sometimes but try to give the lhbs as much business as i can.

    Yeah, I recently bottled my kit wine.....It sat in secondary for 3 weeks or so I think. Tasted great when I bottled it.

    Anyone know if this has any effect on a septic tank? If anything I figured it probably helps things break down, or it just kills the yeast when it gets there. I know rid-x is just some sort of yeast ....isnt it? Anyone have a reason not to dump this into a septic tank?

    2 weeks in bottle and very little carb

    temp is good, and the amount of sugar you used is plenty. Give them more time is about all you can do now. The rolling technique may help too, but time is the key. If two more weeks and still low, then we may have a problem. The beer will taste better after a couple more weeks. Be patient

    Yeah, I'll never convert fully to kegging. I like to take a sixxer to a buddies and like the mini kegs alot too. Having my own little bar and a pool table in the house, I would like to have a couple on tap at times.

    Partial Mash Porter

    I used english ale WLP002, I think its a similar yeast. I always use DME now also. less messy, easier to save the extra if you have any. I added my recipe to the database, click on recipes under my name if you want to check it out.
