    Anderson Valley Boont amber it pretty good too! I'm usually not a big amber guy, but they just do a very solid job with it!

    Agreed, just wrap the cooler in blankets! Foil won't do much, but add another step! If you're loosing too much heat, make sure you are preheating your cooler with boiling water before doughing in and insulating your cooler.

    What to do with my tainted yeast

    Try a small batch of a low gravity beer. That way if it tastes like vomit, you didn't spend too much on grain/hops. Just make sure to replace any non-glass that touches those mystery soldiers!

    Corkage Fee for Beer?

    The only place I've been to that was BYOB was in Baltimore and it was $.50 a bottle for beer and $10 for wine. I think us beer drinkers make out in that situation!

    You got it! Sanitize your siphon tubing (should fit in the air lock hole) and put the other end in a bottle, jar, jug, anything you got filled w. sanitizer. Find something to keep the tubing submerged in the sanitizer and your good to go! Glad to hear you have a healthy fermentation going! Brew...
