    the thing about 2L bottles is after he opens it he has to drink it all pretty much that day or it will go flat so i was told. thats why i dropped down to the 16 oz size bottles.

    does anybody know if my 3 gallon brew pot is big enough for the austin homebrew extract kits? some places i've been looking have the instructions u can download and some say i need at least 3 gallons of water to brew their extract kits :( so i dunno where to get my next kit from now...

    my mr beer kit says i can use soda bottle to bottle my beer and i've been saving up and have 16 16.9 oz mt dew bottles for when my 2nd batch of mr beer gets done. most of my mr beer bottles are holding the 1st batch i made right now. Anything bad about doing this? like off flavors in my beer...

    oh yea, it will be a while before i even do partial kit cuz i would need bigger pot sizes. i've done 3 extract kits so far. i might like to step up to the partial kits sometime if its really that easy to do on the stove top :mug: i really don't see any difference in partial and whole grain kits...

    aight thanks for the advice. one more question about the one that blew up cuz of too high storage temp. what is the temp range that could cause one to blow up and how does the high temp cause that? creates pressure to fast for the bottle to handle?
