    External CO2 tank mount

so after searching for a while, i couldnt really find what i was looking for on this topic, so i decided to do it myself and post up pictures. i wanted to mount my co2 tank on the outside of my kegerator so my pressure gauge would read more correctly (if that is even a term). so i began by...

    Firestone VS Cornelius

ok so im gonna dig this thread up because im curious about this too, since im thinking about converting a pin lock keg (which im getting from my father-in-law for free) to a ball lock, since my other 4 kegs are ball lock. i looked on my LHBS website and they have different poppets for different...

    Iodine question-Need quick answer

so is iodophor 1.75% concentration? i have heard it as 1%. oh well. the stuff i got at the farm supply store was much cheaper than my LHBS. $11.30 after tax for 1 gallon when the LHBS sells a 1 liter bottle for $12.95 before tax. think i came out pretty well. lol

    Iodine question-Need quick answer

cheers mate, but i think your conversion was wrong. its 30 ml per ounce. so 0.25 ounces would be 7.5 ml. just so long as its supposed to be 12.5 ppm i should be good. thanks!

    Iodine question-Need quick answer

hey yall. i got some iodine udder wash from the local farm supply store by my house and the concentration is 1.75% iodine. the bottle says mix 0.5 oz with 2.5 gallons of water to achieve a dilution of 25 ppm. i have read that for a no rinse sanitizer solution i need 12.5 ppm, correct? so then i...

New kegerator development...will keep you posted!

Well, the news is that my father in law works for a company that works on and installs new appliances, so when he installs new refridgerators and they dont want the "old" fridge, they haul it away for free. therefore, my father in law gets fridges for free and has found me a good garage fridge...

    Carb then Disconnect

Sounds great. So here's my plan. When I keg my double chocolate stout, im going to age it for about 1 month or so at about 65F at about 19 PSI to get just under 2 volumes of co2 and then when i put it into my 33F kegerator and get it down to serving temp, I will release the pressure and then put...

    Question on Carbing/Serving PSI

ok. so sorry to dig up an old thread, but here it goes. i just kegged a hefe myself and i have it set at around 15 psi in my mini-fridge kegerator in the garage. the temperature is showing about 32-33 degrees, so i figured it would make it a high carbonation hefe, given the slight fluctuation of...

    Carb then Disconnect

that looks pretty much like the o-ring that comes in the kit that my local homebrew store sells. one of their kits comes with the o-rings to rebuild 2 kegs, including the connector and dip tube o-rings. $6.50 for the kit! check em out! http://www.homebrewery.com/beer/beer-keg-gaskets.shtml

    Hefeweizen kegging questions

Hey yall. I've got a few questions. I'm making my first hefe and I have seen some differing information. First question, what is the normal primary fermentation time for a hefe? Secondly, (appreciate the irony here) should I rack from my primary to my secondary to finish off and clear? I know...

well the problem is that i dont really have a favorite style. im really open to a lot of different brews. i just get really tired of the same old junk you find at the local gas station. i like to observe the color and flavors of a brew, smell it and enjoy the hop aroma and try to detect the...
