Tri clover heat exchanger / condensor

I have a 1.5" triclover heat exchanger. It measures 36" long and has a 1.5" tri clover tube going through a 3" outer shell. This gives a half inch jacket around the inner tube. The jacket has 1/2' female pipe thread inlet and outlet that are offset 180 degrees. This could make a cool rims...

    3/4" triclover valve and gaskets

3/4" ladish-triclover valve with 8 teflon high temp gaskets. The valve was purchased surplus, but appears to be new. It did not come with a handle, so the handle is used. The valve was actuated, so it does not have a stop in the on or off position, the handle will turn 360 degrees. Inline...

How close is your panel to your brew kettles?

I originally had a control panel mounted under my stand. The panel was done and I even had an elaborate splash shield made for the top of it. It was a BCS 460 control box, so all I had was disconnects for the heating elements, pumps, and RTD's. I had an emergency stop switch mounted in a...

    Help with DIY false bottom

Here is the material that I got, It measures about 24" by 24". It has a dime on it for reference, I think it has the right size for flow vs. filtration, if that makes sense.

    Help with DIY false bottom

From time to time, I have access to some great material, the holes are smaller than 1/8". Stainless and heavy gauge. A piece about 20 x 20 inches was about 25 bucks. I made a hinged false bottom, used a guide on a angle grinder to make almost a perfect circle. Once cut in half however, and...

    RTD Placement for RIMS Tube?

My rims tube is vertical, element on the bottom pointing up, rtd on the outlet on top. A vertical design ensures that the air pockets rise up and out the top of the tube, keeping the element wet, unless you get a stuck mash. I think there are quite a few running them vertical on this forum.

Serving Tanks and Fermenters at a Brewpub

These are probably too small for you, but perfect for the brewer going pro but wanting to start out small. I have seen these twice before. 80 gallon corny kegs. They have a gas in and a liquid out, and a dip tube just like a conventional corny keg. I saw 12 or so at a scrapyard that I...

    Optimum steel for single tier

I agree the 2" looks almost overbuilt. A 1.5" frame is plenty beefy, especially with a .12 wall. The .065 is not necessarily easier to weld, but it is easier to burn through, especially for a newb welder. However, .12 does make the stand considerably heavier, if you are taking it back and...

    tri clover clamps

You are correct, the 10 fit 1" or 1.5", I am going back to edit my post. These are actuall pretty nice, not all banged up..... 304 stainless, they are hard to tear up. Most groups of clamps you see on ebay have 3 or 4 different wing nuts on them, these are all the same.

    tri clover clamps

I would rather sell them as a lot for now, just because I don't want to deal with shipping to multiple locations. I am assuming you are asking for individual pricing, the price quoted is for the lot of 10 and the lot of 15.

    Kevin's E-Brewery Build

Thats the beauty of metal, if you make a mistake just grind it down and reweld it! I always say that wood is easier to cut and work with but metal is more foregiving.

    BCS-460, 3 elements, 2 pumps

EDIT After "looking" at the diagrahm, I can see that you are trying to make safeguards in the bcs. By not allowing you to run multiple elements and exceeding the 50 amp limit. But if you are using the bcs as it is intended "aka" process states, I guess the programmer could still screw it up.

    BCS-460, 3 elements, 2 pumps

I first want to let TJ know how everybody on this forum apprecitates how he goes out of his way on diagrahms etc. ....way cool sir! I have a setup that I have been working on for almost 2 years! I call it "Over the Top Brewery" because of the many changes I have made. It is very similar to...

    Kevin's E-Brewery Build

I would bevel the steel where the 45 degree angles come together. It will give more room for the weld to fill in. That band saw probably makes really clean cuts where the metal fits perfectly. After grinding a weld there probably is not much weld left, hence bevel the joints. Actually those...
