Bodine motor for grain mill? cheap

The controllers you guys have are known as variable frequency drives or vfd's. They will take your single phase and convert it to three phase, and give you variable speed control to boot. It varies the speed by varying the frequency (Hz). Your motor is great because it is made as inverter...

    Broken Carboy Club

I use to have a giant 13 or 14 gallon glass carboy, this thing was a monster. I say "use to have", because I sold it about 3 or 4 months ago on craigslist. Every time I carried the thing around, I thought I was going to break it, and full of ten gallons it would have weighed well over 130 pounds.

55 gallon stainless drums - Ohio

I know a place that has 55 gal. closed head stainless drums for sale for $55. He has quite a few, many have small dents, but I'm sure most will push out from the inside. He has a bunch so you might find some that have no dents. They are all stacked inside a storage shipping crate. They held...

    Hopster Hopscreen

Might be a dumb question, but does anyone think that the 30x30 mesh could be sewn with a sewing machine? Anybody have some scrap and would be willing to try?

A few closeup shots showing the pots for the elements - they are actually boxes I welded up from stainless sheet, sanded smooth and polished. The rims tube has the element potted in a tri clover fitting. Closeup of the rims plumbing with the transfer tubing from the HLT removed so that you get...

    small electrical box

Thats a .30 cal ammo can. The .50 cal is even larger, but you get the idea. I used a .30 cal can for a battery and electrical box on a motorcycle, so it has some good size to it.

I gots both pumps at a scrapyard for $25 total. They both had 3 phase motors on them when purchased. Got one Baldor 1/2hp 90 volt DC washdown motor for $10. The 90v DC drive I got for $5. The second motor was the equalizer, I spent $140 for it. There is a selector switch on top of the...

Thanks! yea there is a lot of stainless on this rig. The pumps can run low and slow, or crank them up for a CIP sprayball. Still need to weld a support shelf for the chiller. It was getting late when these pictures were taken. I will post a few closeup shots another time.

No more GE 50 AMP Spa Panel at Home Depot?

It would not even turn on. The red flag was always in the window indicating a tripped breaker. Even disconnected both hots and neutral and it still would not reset.

    Square D 250gfi bad?

Well after going through everthing that I did, I figured the breaker was DOA. Was going to plug my brewery in for the first time. I have been slowly building this system for almost two years now, so to say that this setback sucks is an understatement.

    Square D 250gfi bad?

I just unhooked the load neutral, The only wire attached to the breaker is the white coiled neutral going to the neutral buss bar. Plug in the breaker and try and turn it on, and it still has the red flag in the window. You cannot use the test button because you can never get the breaker in...

    Square D 250gfi bad?

Let me preface this by saying this breaker was purchased off of Ebay from PLC center used. After doing all the wiring yesterday, the breaker would not reset so that the visitrip indicator (red flag in window) would always show a blown breaker condition. With the breaker out of the panel it...

Hop spider to end all hop spiders?

Wow, those do look good. This is one of the last items I need before I brew on my new system. I will probably just use some paint strainer bags until someone pops on one of these. Make sure to post pics.

    Good deal?

A good deal would have been $20 for each item, so for $50, you got a score:mug:
