Anyone have a Beverage Air fan...

My fan was also almost locked up, took apart and oiled the sleeve bearings was all it needed. It is actually hard to burn up one of these fans. Large 3 half barrel model - will get cold in 20 minutes.

    ebay Pennsylv. pickup-not mine

Looks like these are a great buy at current price- guy has them listed under a strange title as well - could go cheap. Local pick up in Oley, Penn. http://cgi.ebay.com/Beer-making-tanks-CO2-tank-regulator-/320699938529?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aab34b6e1

    Diy conical?

I have talked to a salesperson from Toledo. They can do anything you want, from adding a triclover ferule on the bottom and side for a racking port, to a complete ready to use model complete with latches. If I remember, there price was around 100 to 150 bucks less than a comparable model from...

Running tap lines out to a new deck

I wonder how much waste would be in that length of line. The beverage tubing has such a thick wall, that I doubt you would waste too much. However in the summer, I could imagine that beer in the line would be warm very quickly. You would also have to run your regulator at about 30 psi...

Show us your element housings/pots. How did you do it?

I may go this route, using some insulating sleeve inside, and drilling some drain holes, thanks Ihearthops. I have a cheapo element wrench socket from Loew's, so replacing the element would not be a problem. This would be welded to the keg around the one inch element bung, because you can never...

    my 15 gal conical

Here is a large stainless conical that I have been working on and off for about a year. Just finished the stand right before Christmas. Still need a seal for the top, it is the same diameter as a 55 gal drum, so I will be ordering some EDPM seals from McMaster. I am also using a drum band...

    GFCI keeps blowing

I work on carpet cleaning equipment. We test every unit on a gfci circuit before it goes out the door because of liablility issues. The craziest things can blow a gfci. I have seen residue from powdered cleaning solution cause a slight short to ground. I have seen an element that when hot has...

There are also large drip pans for putting under cars or engine stands when rebuilding engines. They are very shallow with sides only around an inch tall.

Tri-Clover pumps on the cheap, now what?

An update on my flow test. First, I tried a variable frequency drive that I got for free from my cousin. It is is the first picture. For those that do not know, a variable frequency drive will (depending on the model), take 120 volt single phase power and convert it to 3 phase 220. It will do...

Tri-Clover pumps on the cheap, now what?

They are completely sanitary, they have grooves in the shaft that directs fluid back to the rear of the impellet for clean in place applications. Most of the time you do not have to even dissasemble them. But taking them apart is only a thirty second job. Remove the front cover with a tri...

Tri-Clover pumps on the cheap, now what?

I just scored two Tri-Clover C114 series pumps at the scrapyard. I bought both pumps for $25.50, or .35 cents per pound. They have 1`5" inlets and outlets. Now for the bad, they have 3 phase motors which I think are bad because of the repair tags on them, however, they are just 56C 1/2 h.p...

Spray on bed liner for brew stand?

I am in the process of building an electric single tier stand. Has anyone ever used spray on bed liner on their stands? If so, then how well does it hold up?

    Yet another Brutus build

I have been hanging out on this forum like a fly on a wall, absorbing info and ideas to build my own brutus. I have accumulated kegs, tri clover fittings, clamps, and valves for the past 6 to 8 months or so. I frequent a scrapyard where all of the materials have come from except for the steel...

Dultmeier Sales has good prices on thermometers, but they are wholesale and only sell business to business. Not sure how they would know for sure though. http://www.dultmeier.com/products/search/78
