    It works!

Now that I've got every thing crammed in there I'm never opening that box again! :D ...but it looks just like this:

    It works!

Just finished my simplified control panel...plugged it in to my spa panel and, wonder of wonders it works...and no smoke. The e-stop works like a charm and snaps everything off in milliseconds. So cool. Now all I need to do is hole my kettle and install the element and build a cart to put...

    Wiring DPST 240 Volt Switch

Sorry to make you guess. It's an NKK 2TPF6 that I got from Grainger. Toggle Switch, Maintained, DPST, 25A Contact Rating @ 125V 25 Amps, Contact Rating @ 250V 25 Amps, Contact Form DPST, Switch Function On/Off It only has 4 wiring points on the back. As per my crude drawing in my...

    Wiring DPST 240 Volt Switch

About to connect DPST 240 v Switch as per P-J's schematic but I'm a bit confused as to the hook ups...Not sure how the numbers on the back of the switch correspond to the schematic. I'm assuming the top connections are 1 and 4 as shown in the schematic and that would leave the bottom connections...

    Soldering resistors for P-J's E-stop

Building P-J's simple HLT setup...Got all my parts...Holes cut in my box and now I'm ready to connect things. So whats the best way to connect the two inline resistors for the E-stop. Twist the stranded wire on the resistor wire and solder? Crimp connectors? Should there be standed wire...

    P-J's simple setup

Ok, I've ordered most of the parts for the simple controller set up for my HLT. My question. Since I'm dealing with a 30 amp 240 volt circuit with incoming power on 10 ga. wire to the terminal strips, Should I continue with 10 ga. wire throughout the build? Rich

The picture Never Mind! I just read the other thread addressing this.

    Electric HLT

I understand the ground and neutral connected to the bars but the two hots connected to similar looking bars confuses me. Is there some way to insulate them? I'm used to wire nutting to distribute a hot. Also I know you can get fuse holders for the fuses but are the resistors just soldered to...

    Electric HLT

Indeed it does...I'm beginning to think I could build this thing. Thanks for your help, Rich

OK...One last thing...does the relay come with a heat sync or is that an extra part I needs to buy.

Is there a thermal sensor attached to the pot? I would guess not..you set the PID for the temp desired....I may be catching on.
