    BIAB 21# grain bill possible for 10 gallon batch?

    For that grain bill, I use about 7.25 gallons. Most of my grain bills are slightly larger, so my average is 7.5 gallons. Then I dunk sparge the grain in 1 gallon 170 degree water, squeezing as hard as I possibly can to extract all of the wort. With the squeeze I only end up losing about 1.5...

    BIAB Basket Rack Weight

    I use this exact rack on top of my Blickmann 10 Gallon Kettle with the extended legs. Generally I split my grains into multiple 5 gallon bags, with a target of around 7lbs each. This rack will easily hold 21lbs. I squeeze and press with much more force than that without issue.

    You don't boil with the bag in place, just Mash at 150 or so for an hour, then remove.

    I put 7lbs per 5 gallon bag. Works well and is easier to stir. I tried one larger bag, but it caught on the built in thermometer and ripped.
