    Beersmith Mobile iPhone/iPad

You can make your own profiles. There are about 20 pre set options, but can also enter custom profiles. I used the trial on the computer, but it just was not convenient to use during a brew day. Tablets are perfect for this. I have only had 15 minutes of exploring the new iPad version...

    Beersmith Mobile iPhone/iPad

It was $7.99 on the App Store. It's downloading now. I have the Lite version, they said there would be an in app purchase to upgrade, but would take another month. I don't use my laptop when brewing, only the iPad, so not worth waiting for $4 difference. Can't wait to use the full version on...

    Bambari eBIAB Build

The iPad app has a lot to be desired. The rest of the post was Skidsmint recommended www.arborfab.com for custom stainless buckets. Mine has not arrived, but believe it is 300 microns.

1st AG Batch - Dead Ringer IPA

Just tweaking per personal preference. I felt it could use a bit more hop taste / aroma.

    Mash In A Bucket system

Working on building a modified version of this system. My plan is to also hook up to a HLT so I can fly Sparge. One question on the build, what did you use for the temperature probe port, a drilled stopper?

1st AG Batch - Dead Ringer IPA

This is my favorite IPA and house beer. The first two AG batches I brewed followed the exact recipe. Brewing this again this weekend and plan to add 8Oz Carapils for some more head retention and also will dry hop with 2Oz Centennial instead of one to get a bit more flavor and aroma.

    Groelsch Bottles

I am sure there are many people on this forum willing to buy at $5 per case. These are all I use and much easier than capping regular bottles.

Anyone use the disposable oxygen tanks for aerating?

This is my experience too. I get a nice stream from the stone, not a gusher. Aerate 60-90 seconds.

    Dead Ringer IPA

This is my favorite IPA. Although I have made a couple of modifications to the AG recipe. I use 1 oz of Centennial at 60 min instead of 0.75 Oz Dry Hop for 5 days with both 1oz Centennial and 1 Oz Cascade Add 8 oz Carapils to the grain bill. Mash at 150 to 151 making it slightly drier...

    Flavor Addition

So you used 20 ounces total? Where these whole flowers or the dried? I used just 2 oz of the Brewers Best dried Elderflowers. I tasted my hydro sample and the Elderflower flavor was strong. Hopefully I used the right amount.

    Flavor Addition

Did you brew this? If so how did it turn out? I brewed an Elderflower Kolsch today and added 2Oz dried Elderflowers at 5 minutes before flameout.

    What would work with Elderflowers?

Just brewed an Elderflower Kolsch. 11 Lbs German Pils 0.5 LBS Wheat Malt 0.5 LBS Carapils 1Oz Hallertauer 60 min 0.5 Oz Hallertauer 30 Min 0.5 Oz Hallertauer 15 min 2Oz Brewers Best dried Elderflowers - 5 Min 1 tsp Irish Moss 15 Min Mash at 152 for 60 Min BIAB Wyeast Kolsch 2565. 2L starter...

    All Grain Vs BIAB - Pro's & Con's (5 Gal Batches)

I completely agree with the above. I split my grain into two 5 gallon paint strainer bags. My biggest grain bill has been around 16lbs for a 5 gallon batch, so lifting and squeezing 8lb bags has not been a problem at all.

    All grain equipment

Around 3.5 to 4 Hours depending on mash profile and boil time.

    All grain equipment

I get 80% efficiency and save about an hour over fly sparging. It's quite easy and can accommodate grain bills to 15+ LBS for 5 gallon batches. I find it much less complicated.

    Question about Wyeast Roselare

I just brewed the AG Nothernnbrewer Oude Bruin recipe and pitched Roaelare directly from a smack pack. Trying to keep the temp around 70. My plan is around 2 months in the primary. Advice seems to vary on when to secondary. ai am not sure how to judge sourness level. I have had several...

    Beersmith on iPad

Does anyone have updates on the timeline to implement full functionality to the iPad Beersmith app? I like it now, but will be amazing with more functionality. Their site just says in coming months.

Good Beer Places in Europe (Germany, Belgium, Paris)

I can't comment on the Brussels or Paris portion, but am quite familiar with the German segment. You will be an hour or so South of Frankfurt, not quite true Southern Germany, but close. Three suggestions within driving distance are Wurtzburg, Rothenburg (Tauber) and the Rhein between Mainz and...
