Don't know if you've seen the trained goldfish or not...

...so here he is in two cool videos: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Springtime/story?id=4803721&page=1

Whoa, careful with that brake pedal...!

Heh, maybe so. 1sec is certainly a stretch, but I think most people don't know just how fast you can stop a car, especially if it's light and has some good rubber. Mine would be in the 1.xx range with stock brake pads instead of his "9k ceramics" if it weren't such a heavy pig :p Wide rubber...

    Are you guys for real?

This thread is full of big avatars.

Whoa, careful with that brake pedal...!

I don't care what kind of pads you have, the tires are what stop a car. 1sec? Hmm... 1-2sec isn't hard to believe if it's got some wide, sticky tires, though I don't know how heavy a 911 is.

    Movie Thoughts - CloverField

I just watched it again since it came out on DVD and a friend bought it... slept through most of it :p

    Movie Thoughts - CloverField

You can't have Cloverfield without shaky cam, because it wouldn't at all be the movie that was written. The reason for the handheld was the basis for the whole movie. You're not part of the crowd in the action with a beautiful, slow jib. Only first-person handy-cam gets you that.

    Movie Thoughts - CloverField

From the thread in February. As an avid movie-goer, I'm so sick of stupid, lame movies for the masses. Cloverfield was a breath of fresh air. I can't say that my opinions are typical of the general public, though, as I frequent the theater very often, am a video editor, and am a filmmaker.

    Need Help with Web Page.

People might tell you to add meta tags and other stuff - but that's not the way it works any more. I only bring that up because I'm constantly hearing people talk about keywords and tags still today. Google ranks your site based on how many other sites link to your site. What you need is to...

Irish Moss powder or dried moss?

Also FWIW, I've been using about 5x that much - a heaping tablespoon of dried IM. I guess I'll switch to tablets next time :p cause I ran out quite fast.

    Disassembling a Corny Keg

OT reply: Mine's 175hp, and I use a waterbed heater with temp control plugged into my power inverter :) Only cost me $40 for the heater, and I already had the inverter. Lots cheaper than a typical bottle heater, and it heats FAST.

    Disassembling a Corny Keg

Speaking from experience (I'm going to assume that CO2 will do the same thing as N2O in a bottle)... My 15lb nitrous bottle, when full, will reach higher PSI with less heat, but at cold temps (ie, in a kegerator), it will be a lower PSI inside the bottle no matter what. Sometimes I'll overfill...

    Another double batch day

I like the all day beer days. Got 1st batch in the carboy, 2nd batch is brewing, and later I'm bottling apfelwein that has been in primary for 10 weeks. I have my last brew in a corny, and I have three more to fill, so I figured I better get to it. Here's what I made: Trying to make...

    english ale yeast HELP!

Hilarious. I just signed on and searched white labs chunky yeast - I too have a vial of the chunky 002. It concerned me because I bought it yesterday and made a starter out of it last night, but the last batch I brewed was with the same yeast but was not chunky - it was normal like other...

Primary ferment length vs autolysis questions

I'm still rather green (though I did just graduate to kegging, woohoo!), but my last batch was in Primary for about 8 weeks or so. It's delicious.

    Aerogrow timelapse video

Really?! That's weird. We're about to experiment with planting our own seeds from different herbs and some grape and cherry tomato plants into the Aerogrow pods.
