    Apollo hops???

If passion fruit is a flavor of apollo, i would suggest dry hopping a galaxy IPA with a combo of galaxy and apollo. Unfortunately there is no clear info on apollo. I have heard, overpowering grapefruit flavors, citrusy lemon/orange, now passion fruit...so i really dont know what to pair apollo...

    carbonation

Rookie mistake I did was immediately placed the bottled beer in the fridge. This obviously killed the primer affect. I cracked all the beers open and added sugar recapped and placed in a dark temp controlled area and two weeks later they were good as new !!!!!

    Apollo IPA

Any updates? I just bought some Apollo as im a huge fan of the grapefruit flavor. I am curious as to how the wheat LME turned out....as i usually stick to ultralight malt extract. Rarely combine different malt flavors...so would love an update!!!

Filter Finished Wort Through Steeping Grains

use a siv or funnel + screen ...my method is when ready for bottling, I rack to another carboy and filter using screen+ funnel method 2-3 times before I actually bottle it to ensure I get the cleanest looking beer possible. Works great with Dry Hopped IPAs as you get all the crap outta the...

    Non-responsive yeast

So if your yeast isn't pitching I'd suggest boiling a 1/2lb or up to 1lb of DME once boiled bring to room temp add your liquid yeast of choice and top with bubbler and set aside for 3-5 days then add it to your wort and that should do the trick ....when in doubt use a yeast starter!!!

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

I tried a recipe from a diff website....the cider tasted great however I bottled too soon as i had 2 cases of bottles explode so dont bottle until the fermentation has settled...it was a rookie mistake!!! Wont do that again

Recipe for extract using Pacific gem hops

Whirlfloc is another form of clarifier. Most brewers prefer it over irish moss. If i have a very cloudy beer when I am done with fermenting I usually add another 1-2 tablets and let it sit for 3-5 days before bottling. It helps out alot. I rack my beer until Im happy with the color. I have done...

    Port Brewing Hop 15

I bought a case of beer from Bev Mo. I love hop 15. The heaviest flavor I had was grapefruit. I would say load up 2ozs of Cascade, Centennial, Falconers Flight, and Warrior to start. Any citrus explosion should be considered. Just a thought

Anyone have experience with Pacific Gem hops?

Just a suggestion if the PG comes through maybe do a cascade or centennial hop during the boil and dry hop 2-3 oz of PG...hopefully the hops used during the boil compliment or enhance the PG...???? would have to do more research...that is just the first thought that came through my head.

Recipe for extract using Pacific gem hops

SO if you like IPAs and have 6 oz of 1 type of hop, best and most simple way to go about it would be this: 6-8 lbs of light malt 1 lb Caramel Briess 40L 6 oz of hops 1-2 tablets of whirlfloc Yeast (depends on what you want) pour 6 gallons of water into your pot steep grain to 170 degrees At...
