    Some kind of pumpkin ale

For my 5 gallom batch i do every year i use one 30oz can of pumpkin pure and 1 30oz can of the prespice pie filling mix. This gives a great body and pumpkin flavor with out the spices being over powered. Just a word of advice, this type of brew is amazing after about 4 months. I brew this every...

    Need Bottle Cleaning Tips

I just got a bottle jet to clean more properly. Ill probably pick up some bleach to realy clean them out. If oxy clean doesnt work. To me this is more of principle since i have about 4 cases of 12 oz bottles and about 6 cases of 22s. The 12oz are my fault for not cleaning but the 22s were given...

    Need Bottle Cleaning Tips

This is just an idea but as a chemist I have access to many acids such as Nitric and Phosphoric. I too was lazy with bottles and found I have about 4 cases of 12 oz bottles with a stuck on sediment in the bottle. I tried hot water soak with Star San but the acid is too dilute to really do much...

If i had the time i would probably give this 3 tries. Unfortunatly i only have until December 18th to get this right lol. I have been agonizing over this recipe as I want it to be as close as possible to the real thing. I would hate to have a dud for her birthday. The one thing i was...

    Blue Moon Clone

Well it comes from my extract brewing that the less time you boil the malt extract, late addition, the lighter the beer is. As for body and dryness i got that from the cream of three crops recipe by biermuncher.

The stupidest comment on your beer

My favorite is when people say, "Its like a *insert beer description*-er New Castle." Also I love when peoole say they can really taste something that just isn't there. Finally I just love telling people the wrong ABV% and watch them "frunk" the whole night. Frunk was our high school term for...

    Blue Moon Clone

I saw in another thread based off the austin homebrew recipe that they are using a 30 minute boil. Could this possibly help address the body and color issues. I have been under the impression that the longer the boil, the thinner the body, lighter color, and dryer your beer will be.

Witbier Austin Homebrew's Blue Moon Clone (AG)

So it seems the major difference is less boil time and half the hops. Does this new recipe put the brew more in line with Blue Moon? I noticed earlier in this thread that Forrest from AHS said he could dumb it down to make it closer to the real deal. Is this what he was talking about? Forrest if...
