3 FLoyds Zombie Dust attempt. Help/info requested

I noticed this beer uses alot of citra per addition. How much different would it be if i did less per addition but boiled them longer. It just seems a little waistful since the first addition isnt until 15 minutes.

Android apps vs Promash or Beersmith

I find that HomeBrew Calculator and Brewzor calculator are great apps for the phone. They help calculate ABV through temperature adjusted calculations, strike temp, priming, and have timers. As for an actualy app to build recipes I would agree with what other people have said in that a phone is...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

I live how clean S-05 has been in my last few brews. One thing i found with this recipe is it takes about 4weeks fir the corn taste to settle out. I love this as my after work chill beer.

    Chocolate Peanut Butter stout.

Cant wait to hear your results. My next attempt i plan on brewing this by adding the PB2 at flame out. I dont want to boil the pb because i dont want any extra bitter. Ill probably do one jar at flame out then the full 13 at secondary

    Chocolate Peanut Butter stout.

Again to everyone saying the peanut butter is mild. You really need to give this beer a good 3-4 months. Everything is overpowered at first by the roastyness and cocoa. I do plan on brewing this with the chocolate pb2 next year just to see how it comes out. Ill deffinatly cut out the cocoa...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

I am brewing this again this weekend. I will say that after sitting in the keg for another week it has cleared up significantly since my gravity defying picture earlier lol. This time I will use the right amount of hops as the extra bitter doesnt work with such a light tasting beer in my opinion.

    Need Bottle Cleaning Tips

When i bottle i use a spigot bucket with priming sugar. I do plan on trying to keg carb and bottle but i just dont see a need for it except to take brew to a party. Like i said i try to bottle specialty beers that have comllex flavors. Also for those that need a reminder. Bleach works...

    Chocolate Covered Beavr Nutz

The peanut butter is going to be the last thing you taste. Once the cocao and roastyness settles it should be more pronounced. Im againg mine in a carboy to help settle the cocao.

    Blue Moon Clone

So i brewed this in doors on friday. Mashed at 152 for 1 hour. Missed my temp oh well. After sparging i was at 5.5 gallons so i missed my volumes. After an hour boil i was at 4.5 so i topped it off to 5 gallons and pitched my S-05 at 75F. Its happily perking hand smells great. I think i may try...

Cream Ale Cream of Three Crops (Cream Ale)

Sorry for the drunken ramble. What I meant to say is i want to cut the corn in half and replace with some crystal 10 and maybe some carapils for just a tiny bit more body. Other then that its a great brew to drink after you have had a few good beers and cant taste anything lol

Bulk grain purchase - does brand matter?

I have also been wondering about brands. I kniw hops can vary deoending on where there grown but i have heard that todays malts are so robust and engineered that it wont matter.

    Krausen removal - or not?

Heres a little advice... once you pitch your yeast and close the fermenting bucket, do not touch it for at least 2 weeks. The "sludge you are seeing will stick to the sides as the krausen settles and anything else will precipitate to the bottkm with the rest of the trub.

    Need Bottle Cleaning Tips

I used straight clorox bleach in my worst bottle. HOLY WOW they look brand new. Only issue is i could smell a little bleach after bottle jetting. My next test is to see what the maximum dilution of bleach in water is effective. All i know is it looks like im set on bottles for a while.

    Blue Moon Clone

Ok so today is brew day. Im going with nilo's #6. Im just undecided on whether to use S-04, S-05, or 1056. Also I am boiling my oats. Should I put them in a musling bag or directly in the wort?
