    Competition Question

About to enter my first competition and I was wondering, do I really need to write out the entire recipe? It says only name and category are required, but is there any advantage/disadvantage in writing out everything else? Thanks! :ban:

Natural carbing vs. co2 carbing and...

how long can a keg last? If I do natural carbing it is my understanding that it is done at room temp, so how long can I leave it there (weeks vs. months?) Also, If I carb a keg via co2 in my fridge, if I take it out and leave it somewhere at room temperature will it be alright and how...

    Tank Sealing Blues

Brilliant! Was kegging for my first time this morning and had this same problem. Lubed it up and cranked it to 25 psi, problem solved. Purged a few times and dropped it to 13-14 psi and now it's chilling in the fridge!

    Time Fermenting Before Kegging

Yea I guess I meant a little of both...didn't know if people went straight to keg or if they let it condition for a while...and if so how long for either scenario. Just curious my friend, no need to get butt hurt!

    Time Fermenting Before Kegging

Thanks for all the input so far! About to make my first attempt at kegging. Contemplating set it and forget it or natural. My beer is approaching about a month and I've got to make my mind up soon!

    Time Fermenting Before Kegging

I was wondering how long some of you let your beer ferment before going ahead and kegging, and what method of carbonating you use. I know this may vary for what type/recipe you are brewing and also utilizing only a primary, or both primary and secondary, but if any of you want to provide some...

Regulator "Y - Splitter" Hook Up Help

I guess I'm trying to figure out if the "gas out" that came with the regulator is supposed to come out and then I screw in the WYE where the original "gas out" was that came with the regulator. Then having two split from that WYE. Hope that could clear up my question some. Thanks!

Regulator "Y - Splitter" Hook Up Help

It really seems like I should just be able to unscrew the airlock and put in the Y-splitter but it won't budge at all...is there some release or something simple I'm overlooking? Thanks!

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Choconut Porter

This beer came out absolutely amazing! Easy recipe to follow and absolutely delicious. My only concern was I felt that maybe 1 - 1.5 oz of the hazelnut flavor would have probably been good (or maybe more chocolate?)...but that's just personal preference as I would have liked a little more...

    Interest in starting kegging

So I've been doing a lot of reading and thinking regarding kegging. It seems like if I want to get started with 2 corney kegs and a #5 tank and all the other stuff won't be absolutely terrible. My main concern is that I have no fridge space or an extra fridge. Ideally I would like to be set...

    Beer Thief question

Just bought "The Thief". The directions say it's ok to return the sample, but everything I've read says not to. I'm assuming that if everything that comes in contact with the beer is cleaned and sanitized then it probably is alright to return. Does this make sense, or are the makers of The...
