Has anyone used Clarity Ferm in Sours/Mixed Fermentation Beer?

Any updates from the OP or anyone else on this? Planning on doing it myself tomorrow with one of the sour batches.

    Margarita Gose

Used the original recipe but did 4 limes. Used traditional kettle sour method and didn’t co-pitch. Came out awesome and a friends wife just stole a 6 pack even. Will be rebrewing for the summer.

Abbaye de Saint bon-chien-- recipe ideas?

Going to try the Big Funky recipe a week from today and have some Bon chien as well as Sapwood Cellars dregs available to go in it as well, but if anyone has any good work they've done to try to recreate this beer, please post. I like the comments about dropping IBUs and will plan on that for...

    Coffee Wine

Just bottled mine. Made a 3 gallon version of the original post and used a mix of lavazzo and Tim hortons ground coffee. Racked twice and left alone for 2 months. Added the vanilla and then 7 oz sugar to backsweeten before pasteurizing. Came out at 13.9% and great coffee nose/flavor. A bit...

    Waldos special ale

Has anyone made an attempt at a clone? I’ve scoured the google machine and any of the very limited posts by home brewers is never followed by what it turned into.

    Wood-Aged Beer Pirate Strong Ale

This came out awesome after a bit of further aging. Would up the pineapple a bit more next time but one of our most requested beers from over 50 batches so far and holding tight to these remaining bottles. Thanks again!

New England IPA Blasphemy - No Boil NEIPA

Just poured to test on day 8 and it’s better than the varied hazies I had at brewdog last night despite being room temperature. Did a ferment in corny keg with floating dip tube - used the original recipe but did 2 oz citra, 2 oz mosaic, and 3 ml hopshot 180 degree 20 min whirlpool followed by...

Oatmeal Stout Flapjack Breakfast Stout (Chocolate-Coffee-Oatmeal-Maple Imperial Stout)

Kegged this about 6 months ago and did the OP’s recipe except for cocoa powder. It is awesome and a vote for anyone looking to make a stout. Definitely think it was better after three months than fresh, and right now is even better than that.

Abbaye de Saint bon-chien-- recipe ideas?

The internet is devoid of any good bon chien recipes. Add me to the list of those who were blew away by this beer and want to try to make a clone even 1/4 as good.

    Light Lemonade Mead

Made a month ago today - same as original post except swapped out one frozen lemonade for a limeade. Used 2 packs EC-1112 and didn’t rack to secondary. Super clear so far and down from 1.097 to 0.998. Ran at 66-68 degrees the entire time. wow - thanks for this - our first non-cider and...

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Leffe Radieuse Clone

Wow. Made 12/28/21 with original recipe on here and bottled on 1/22/22. Only changes were 60 min mash, rounded up the Candi syrup to a full pound and used wlp 500 but came out with a great 8.2% brew; will be doing this again for sure. Photo comes out a bit dark but the beer has a nice reddish...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Adding 5 gallons of the triple hop miller lite clone from the recipes here as well as 5 gallons of a guava pale ale to the 30 gallons already fermenting away here on Saturday. The 10 gallons are for a friend getting a knee replacement and his last brews until he recovers.

Watery, light brew - what next?

thanks for replying. I've only gone with addition of the mixed fermentation cake from a few batches but haven't tried anything else unplanned this late ever. if all else fails, I have a light, lower calorie brew for my friend trying to lose weight.

Watery, light brew - what next?

It was AG - BIAB and milled through AIH (just got mill a week after so starting that kit). Haven't used their kits before but have 3 brewers best ones under our wings at this point and did ok with those. Got this kit as an xmas gift but disappointed. We've spiced up a recent bland parti-gyle...
