Pyrex carboys Long Branch NJ craigslist

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that in my entire life. They do have some good CL listing though. And Bruce Springsteen.

HUGE kegerator opportunity in San Antonio

Keep in mind it doesn't have any towers (that I can see) or holes drilled for them. Make sure the compressor and fan work and it blows cold air. $600 is a little steep considering the condition and the other facts I just mentioned, but then again you don't see equipment like this often.

Common household appliances used for DIY projects

Turns out I won the bid for an old True TDD-3. It's a little beat up but seems like it'll work okay (yet to plug it in). Has some rust inside, a lot of dents on the top and needs a really good Clorox bath. Will have to replace all the lines I assume. It'll be an interesting project.

Common household appliances used for DIY projects

I might be getting my hands on a TDD-3 Kegerator that looks like it'll need some work. This means I'll have to get rid of the big old appliances hanging around my basement asap. I'll probably just run through them with a screwdriver and wrench and take out anything with wires attached. Gotta...

Common household appliances used for DIY projects

I realize that every now and then it's time to replace something in the house. A washing machine here, an air-conditioner there. Does anyone have a good list of some common household appliances and other items that could be converted to homebrew use? For instance, I have a washing machine...

ALL GRAIN KIT ... buy my stuff

There's some stuff I'm interested in, but I have most of what you're offering. My buddy might get into brewing. I'll see if he's interested and perhaps we can work something out. If we get serious I'll shoot a PM.

    Stir Bar Silencer

For me the crosses were too noisy and they didn't stay in place as well. I tried a smaller and a larger one and both got throw rather easily. The football was one of the few that stayed put at high speeds but was also the quietest. That's just my experimentation though.

Grolsh and EZ Cap bottle score!

Yeah, I use nothing but swingtop bottles. Now that I'm kegging I can bottle more of a variety as well. But beware a lot of homebrew competitions won't allow swingtop bottles. I didn't realize it until after I tasted my Belgian Wit and decided I wanted to enter it (after I already bottled).

    Stir Bar Silencer

I've tried several stir bars, and the one that seems to work best and is the most quiet is one that's shaped like a football. The only way I can tell it's still spinning is by checking the vortex, and it's got a great spin to it too. I've tried a couple crosses and liked them the least.

brew rigs, custom built for you

I would just talk to them. My buddy is making keggles and stuff and just started talking to the owner about maybe selling them, or at least putting in a good word for him. They liked the idea of using his rig to cut the tops off and stuff. Or if you want to talk to my buddy (he welded his own...

Devon, PA - keezer on Craigslist

My in-laws live right off the ramp, behind the fire station right there. If my wife lets me get a kegerator, I'll be sure to share. I'm borrowing one from a friend right now, just kegged my first beer last night (an Irish Red). I'm supposed to wait until Christmas though, so we'll have to see...

Devon, PA - keezer on Craigslist

I might have to take a look at this one... pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, but my wife is convinced I'm not looking for anything beer-related.

Want to go AG, MLT question???

Another 70qt XTreme owner here. Most people I've talked to felt it was very easy to go from 5gal to 10gal batches fairly easily with the cooler and 2 keggles. I couldn't resist saying no, and I haven't looked back.

    Wish You Were Beer T-Shirts

A large won't fit me anymore. Not after I started drinking. I'll see if the wifey would like one.

    Clementine Hefeweizen!

I did an American Amber, but added 4 oranges by following the same process as the Blood Orange Hef. I think the grated rinds and pulp did add some color that my reviewer wasn't expecting out of an American Amber.

    Clementine Hefeweizen!

Turkey baster, why didn't I think of that! I'll remember that for next time, thanks!

    Clementine Hefeweizen!

That's ironic, yesterday I brewed the Kiwit recipe a few pages after the Blood Orange Hef recipe. It was the first time using a carboy instead of buckets, so there was an interesting experience, and it was my first time making a starter (stir plate and all). I am extremely happy with the outcome...

    Philadelphia area newbie

Another newbie here from the Philly area (Lansdale). I have to say, I love living 5 minutes away from my LHBS.
