    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

    I received my cooling jacket this afternoon. I have my FF conical mounted on a wooden frame using the Wall mount arms to secure it to the frame. The jacket fits around the arms and the fermenter perfectly and has plenty of room for multiple ice bottles. It looks to be well made and I can't wait...

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

    I had notification from the company that the jacket I pre-ordered last October is finally going to be shipped. They wanted to verify if I still wanted it and if the shipping address was correct. Will post again once it arrives.

    Beer from Horse Feed?

    Best mill after 2+ years?

    I have a Valley Mill that I purchased in the 90"s. I drive it with a variable speed cordless drill very slowly. With only routine cleaning and maintenance it is still managing great grind output.

    Oldest beer in your Fridge ?

    I have a bottle of Blue Romulan Ale ( from the Star Trek era) that was given to me in 2002. It was brewed by Ceveceria Centro Americana S.A. in Guatemala. May open it some day but until then it remains in cold statis of my beer fridge.

    I received s new supply of grain etc, yesterday and I am going to try a honey amber ale on Saturday. I currently have a Bo. Pilsner in the fermenter that will be kegged on Saturday .

    Is Your Christmas Brew Done On Time?

    I have kegged an all grain, American Amber Ale using some Red-X grain for the first time. It will be ready to tap on Christmas Eve. My wife is eagerly awaiting a glass. Merry Christmas to all.

    Water Filter Setup

    What I do is to run 5 gallons slowly thru the carbon filter to flush it good. I keep that in a bucket for later cleaning. Then I fill the brew kettle to the desired amount and add a Camden tablet for extra peace of mind. After a few minutes I begin my boil. So far I have had no problems with...

    Replacement poppets........

    I have 4 Corney Pin-Lock kegs that were not used for over 5 years and I contacted MoreBeer.com and was able to obtain poppets, Gaskets/O-rings and new lids for all of them. They are good to deal with and have most of what you need. No problems with my kegs so far. Good luck with the Kegs...

    Avangard Maltz

    Thanks for the link to the other thread JSGuitar. Seems like most prefer the Pils malt over the pale ale. I may try that instead since it is only $3 more a bag. Will post again to give results/opinion of it.

    Hello All, My local HBS has started carrying Avangard German Pale Ale Malt at a good price. I will be going there early next week and was thinking of buying a bag to use as my base malt for various beers. Does anyone have any experience with this malt? Thanks in advance \Clearbeer1:ban:

    fermenting in a milk jug, and dont have an airlock

    Just get a balloon and place it over the opening of the milk jug. As Co2 is produced it will inflate the balloon and help prevent any problems. Just my 2 cents Clearbeer1

    Cheap bottles?

    http://www.containerandpackaging.com/item/B905 You might want to look at these. They are a quart so once opened you only have 2 pints to pour between you and your brother -in-law so they won't go flat quickly. They are also reasonable and you can order as many as you need/afford at a time...
