    Are my hops ruined?

It will change season to season for sure, you would need to test each harvest every year to be sure of the alpha content, but you could just get the plant tested once to gain at least a ballpark idea of the alpha content for following harvests. I have heard (when I say heard I mean read here :D...

    BMC in a brewpub, WTF?

Yup, one of my buddies from Texas says Miller Light is "God's tear drops" wont drink anything else, to each their own I suppose :mug: Remember at least that is a step up from those people who refuse to drink beer, if only slightly:cross:

    Northern Brewer...kinda dissapointed

Freshops came through, mine all arrived (4 rhizomes, Magnum, Cascade, Mt. Hood, and Hallertauer) with growth less than 10 days after my order, I would highly recommend them. :mug:

    Sanitizing blackberries for secondary

Wash the berries thoroughly first as any bacterial contaminants will be on the outside of fruit, then puree/mash/whatever you like, then cook the the resulting fruit pulp at 120-170 in oven before addition and you should be fine, the tablets are also an interesting idea posted above... :mug...

foxy lady -- purple haze clone label

New lip pic owns, the contrast is great on the label have always liked the pink vs black color combo, the "d" looking like an "a" is problematic I would just try to find a different lowercase style/font "d" and should look sweet :mug:

Half Batches, Does anybody do that?

I plan on doing 2.5 gallon batches as I got all my equipment from an old lab in the basement of my research building, i got a bunch of 4L Erlenmeyer flasks to brew in with buildt in blow off attachments in the necks, not ideal but it was free and will function very nicely. I also got a bunch of...

    WTF is this monster?

I am a microbiologist, never seen a fermenter that looks like this pile, also looked up BioJet, apparently they do exist...and they make quality bathtubs.... http://www.biojet-international.com/ I would stay far away from this, also if the fermenter does actually exist the filters would...

Should i get a yield this year?

For them I would recommend plastic explosives molded to look like the mole/gopher's friends, drop down the hole, move to safe area...etc. Almost worked in Caddyshack right? ;)

Should i get a yield this year?

A way (or attempt to I should say) to keep the squirrels from diggin up you seeds or roots is to lay a mesh or wire screen down over the plants/seeds, of course you would leave a hole large enough for the est. plant to continue to grow through and just anchor the mesh with metal coat hanger wire...

    Yeast starter too small?

Not a seasoned brewer by any means, but a seasoned microbiologist, really the size of the starter would likely dictate how long it may take to get full fermentation, but not the overall fermentation as the yeast will continue to grow until unfavorable conditions arise regardless of the size of...
