    My Keezer Build

Wow, turned out great! Let me know how the copper holds up. I may need to figure out a way to put it on mine. Again, looks great!

    Help with water profile

I agree that I should get a new report on the un-softened water, but that will take 2 weeks. Mash water is 3.4 Gals (11lbs x 1.25 qts), Sparge is 2.4 gals twice. So multiple addition grams by 3.4 for the mash and add nothing to the sparge? CaSO4: 5.1 CaCl2: 1.7 MgSO4: 5.1 Would I be...

    Help with water profile

I’m brewing an APA (Color = 6) this weekend and need some help with my water profile. I got a report done by Ward Labs and using the EZ_water_adjustment spreadsheet by -TH-, I can’t seem to get it adjusted to anything meaningful. Below are the report’s findings. This is county water, run...

    Chinook Pale Ale Advice

Thanks. I know what I'll be doing next Saturday. :mug:

    Chinook Pale Ale Advice

Thanks, I was planning on getting the coriander and orange peel from AHB, but I have a nice market up here in Spring Hill that I’ll take a look at. Fresh orange zest would probably be better anyways. I've never added anything to a batch yet. Are the mesurments by weight or by volume...

    Chinook Pale Ale Advice

Hmmm, I need to rethink this whole thing. That Orange Cascades Pale Ale looks pretty tasty, and may just do the trick. The orange zest and coriander sound like a nice combo. Thanks, Passerdawn, for the advice. Redoing my order with Austin Homebrew right now.

    Chinook Pale Ale Advice

Thanks, Yooper. I like Arrogant Bastard, but only in small doses, so an “All Chinook” ale probably wouldn’t be to my liking for an “All Day by the Pool” beer. I think I’ll put Cascades in the 15 min and Amarillo’s at the 5 min, like you suggest, and...

    Chinook Pale Ale Advice

Being 90* plus in the shade for the next 6 months here in Florida, I want to make something light and drinkable, like a Pale Ale. EdWorts Haus Pale Ale looks like a good fit. I have a supply of Chinook hops that I’d like to use, so I was wondering if substituting the Cascade hops for...

    eco-friendly sanitation

Revvy, don't get me wrong, I wasn't slamming the stuff, I was mearly pointing out the MSDS looks like it would take your skin off. I understand the lawyers have to do the required CYA, too. I use it and wouldn't consider using anything else out there. Don't fear the foam!

    eco-friendly sanitation

You wouldn't think it's so safe when you read the MSDS, but it is. Amazing stuff...

    My Keezer Build

Maybe a piece of 1/8" Plexiglas to protect it? At least if it gets scratched, you can replace it.

    My Keezer Build

Looks great. I still can’t get over that copper! That is going to look fantastic with the finished cherry. Oh, how I wish I’d found it before I finished mine. :(

    HopDog Two Jacks Ale Label

After Coy and Josh at BrewBrand Creative created my logo, I’ve tried my hand at my first label. This will go on a tap handle for my Bells Two Hearted Ale clone, called Two Jacks Ale. What do you think? Suggestions welcome.

    Show us your Kegerator

I use satin polyurethane on mine. Holds up well and doesn’t change the color of the wood very much. Working on one today for my Bells Two Hearted Ale clone I just put on the gas to carbonate.
