    Should I complain?

When did I give input in this thread?????? I just asked why he needed a starter that is half the size of his batch. Re-read my post before you jump down my throat.

    worst beer you ever made

I had a brewers best ( I think) ipa kit, and when it was in secondary I had moved and the water in the airlock got sucked back in and the batch I think it was infected. I left it to age for 4 months while I was deployed and it never got better so I chocked it up to being infected.

    Should I complain?

But 10 liters?! I've only done a starter once and that was just to see if I could do it. Normally I just shake the vial wait 10-15 sec and pitch it. So for no problems. I'm just surprised that you need 10 liters. 5.5 gallons is 20.9 liters, so his starter is half of his batch! I must be...

    Should I complain?

Let me see if I'm understanding this. You think you need to make a 10 liter starter, as in 5 coke bottles worth of starter, or are we talking about a different measurement that I've never heard of? If it's the same liter i see everywhere else I would think 1 would be too huge.

Well, everything except for the wood and the other exterior parts. Emailed kegconnection, told them what I needed, and they hooked me up. Also went ahead and bought another 2 kegs to bring the total of 10. :D Now just to get home from this deployment and finish it!!

    Cherry Stout

I was going with the guidelines that Beer Tools Pro had for a sweet stout. I appreciate your help, but it sounds like your saying that the software is wrong. Not trying to be a dick or anything, just trying to understand.
