    Bottling and serving a cyser

You could carb half and leave the other half still provided no back-sweetening has been done, then see what you like better. I did that with a sou cider I made. (like the carbed one way more).

You're gonna hate that I moved back to Blogspot then! Here's the latest. Plans for my next two Blonde ales: An attempt to improve last Springs blonde ale

Potential mold on mead at day 4

Doesn't look like mold to me. I've had one moldy mead, and it it was undeniably recognizable as mold.

    Fishing!

Has anyone used the FishBob App? Someone on Reddit made it to log your fishing successes. I took it a step further to help analyze data, and pick lures accurately based on your person experiences. I wrote a blog post about it here. All about FishBob - It's a free fishing log, I dive into how to...

    Fishing!

I used my Uncles for going out on the ocean, not for fishing, but the hands free approach is a definite bonus for fishing. If you do go on the ocean, I'd bring an oar with you as sometimes the conditions make the pedaling a little interesting (ie turning your rudder while pedaling).

    Woody Taste in Mead

Can't be too sure. Was really hoping you added oak to make the question an easy answer. Cinnamon is literally a tree bark, so it could be contributing.

    Bottling for competition

Going to side with AZ on this one. Just wait as close to the entry deadline as you safely can. Rebottle, and submit.

Homebrewing saved me over $1000 in 2015!

The Wheel of time keeps turning. The discussion gets another spoke. This was a down year for brewing for me, but I'll be back! I always come back.

Sure whatever you say. Just send me some slabs of salmon and I'll forget I saw it.

    Fishing!

One of the dumbest things I've done was try to cast a rubber trout worm (looks like a regular sized worm, weighs practically 0) with no extra weight or anything. It went a good 3 feet and tangled up my line. Then when I was trying to fix my line I slipped on the mud and fell down.

If you look like an idiot, and know one is around to see it, are you still an idiot?

    Is this a wise move?

Cysers are all juice + honey, so a cherry one would probably be fine. Just be sure to use tart cherry.

Anyone ever used the Rapala Jointed Minnows? I got one for Xmas and I'm hoping it's a good multi-species lure.

    Fishing!

I like Joe's Flies spinners. They are affordable and work great. After a lot of bites the action needs a little finnicking with your retrieve to start up, but is fine after that. I've found that rainbows love the "Black Gnat" flavor. All on the little $2.50 spinner that could.

    Fishing!

That's actually a Rooster Tail (to be specific) I pulled up with some weeds that day. I just tied it on right there, but have since removed the swivel. All my spinners get tied directly to the line. I know it's not best practice but I still used 6-8 lb test because I'll switch to bass on a...

    Fishing!

I plan on getting out a lot more this year. Maybe on a lunch break or two. I also got a handful of new lures for Xmas that I've been itching to tie on.

    Help me choose a burner

I use a Dark-Star burner and have no complaints, but if I knew I'd be looking for more power later on, you might as well go big up front.

    Fishing!

Yeah it was a pretty good size for the body of water. My brother in law pulled an absolute lunker out of the same spot though. Not sure how it even swam around.
