These pumps are very reliable it is far more likely to have a power supply fail then the pump. Pump is tested to 30000 hours continues use. My own have never let me down thus far.

The brass versions are coated it is a silicone based coating very low viscosity and hard to see. We think the much higher viscosity coating will help people in the fact it will be much more obvious and that is the idea behind changing from a silicone based.
