I have been wondering the same thing. After reviewing both, it looks like you can control more functions with a BCS controller, but its hard to beat the price of the Hosehead. I am leaning towards Hosehead.

I actually found this while cleaning up tonight. Forgot I had it. Tri-clamp assembly for water heater element with cord restraint. Originally purchased from brew hardware I believe. Its is really nice and gives plenty of room to connect the ground wire inside. $25 Shipped.
