    Refridgerator Thermostats

Although the swamp cooler works and really isn't all that much trouble to switch out ice bottles, I do have a spare fridge in my garage. Seems like a no-brainer to go ahead and equip it with a refridgerator thermostat to ensure the yeast are happy and my beer is fermenting at proper temps. I...

    Water Vending Machine

The rotten egg smell wont do me much good...pretty marshy 'round these parts! New filters, new cartridges, its all the same. The water just isnt palatable enough to brew with. Ill buy purified water. Like Hang Glider said, I wont let the $5 get in the way of a tasty batch. But somewhere...

    Water Vending Machine

Could some peoples in southern US states help a sister out??? I would really prefer to purchase some RO water for my brewing. It's cheaper, much more earth friendly and, well, my filtered tap water tastes like poo. Unfortunately I can't find a dang vending machine anywhere. When I lived on...

How to stop airlock gunk from getting in fermenter when moving fermenter...

"I have read that putting the fermetor in like a milk crate helps a lot as you lift the crate not the fermentor and do not get as much flex in the fermentor" Milk crate, good idea! I have been thinking of something taller and on wheels...a Radio Flyer????? :p

    Hoppy American Amber Suggestion???

Soon I'll be racking to secondary and am getting geared up for filling the primary again. Does anyone have a suggestion for a hoppy amber? I am a fan of North Coast's Red Seal Ale, generally considered an American Amber, yes? I am new to brewing, so please feel free to expand my shopping...

Has this happened to anyone else??

MADWOMAN, actually! Phew, glad to hear other people's work productivity has decreased as well. Since this addiction doesnt sound cureable, I may need to log off and look into housekeepers...the home productivity is on the downhill slope too. Ah well. Who cares. BEER!!!

Survival of the Fittest or Mass Murder??

I too live in an area where there isn't a homebrew shop to be found for miles and miles and miles (2hr drive). So as a newbie, I was forced to order online. Last week Monday I ordered my first beer kit from Northern Brewer (extra pale ale) and had it 2-day delivered to mi casa. Despite the...
