Oh crap, What did I do...

Thanks for the quick responses. I wrote this thread and then began reading the thread from WildGinger on his strawberry all grain and Blueline's extract version. Or was it Bluelines extract that WildGinger modified to all grain that Blueline then re-modified??? LOL. Tons of great stuff...

    Home Brew Store

Sounds to me like the local brew store wants to go out of business. I would wait for the store closing sale and buy all you need at discounts. In the mean time, buy online. Quality stuff is all around online. Kurt

Oh crap, What did I do...

Well, I may have screwed this batch up. I made a light ale with 6# LME and 1 - 1/2 Lbs grains and fermented it for 21 days. I wanted to make a strawberry blonde, so I put a can of strawberry wine starter (Whole and cut strawberries in juice) on the bottom of the secondary and racked the beer...

    Time in a bottle

I for one would also like to be in if we are gonna just drink your fridge into having more room!!! If that's not a viable option, I do not think there is any real harm to pulling the bottles for a short time. I have bottles that are ageing that have not ever seen the cool air of the fridge...

Need Homebrewtalk Members help on ordering new kegs!

I see that the replies are all across the board here. I would go for the 5 gal w/metal strap, but would also take a rubber top one also. The price difference is really not a issue as much as availability would be. Unfortunately, when I need one, I need it soon. Kurt

How many gallons for Nat. Hmebr. Day 13?

I guess I am just out of the loop, but I wasn't aware. How dare I even admidt that? Anyway, I did brew 5 gal of a bright blond on the 27th of April. Still in the primary, but I have high hopes for it. Kurt

    Beer fermentation and fruits

Thank you bpnc, for your thoughts. I guess I might be as you referred to "overthinking the issue." I went to pick up my fruit and they were all out of what I wanted so it will wait another 5-6 days before I try my experiment anyway. Thanks again, and I will keep looking back here from time...

    Cleaning bottles?

I have a friend that uses a standard spray bottle with Starsan in its useable dilution. He then just sprays the inside of the bottle with starsan (after a cleaning in PBW) and lets them drip dry on a rack. He then sprays them one last time as he bottles. He got me started with this technique...

    Beer fermentation and fruits

Alright, here I go again with the questions. Please be patient with me. I am brewing a strawberry blonde and would like to know opinions about these questions I have. Should I rack to a secondary fermentation vessel? Should I add new yeast to which ever vessel I use (secondary or leave...

    Feeling kinda sick after brew....

Well, after I looked over these reviews, it looks like I just need to get used to the home-brew type of beer. After reading the messages, it seems like the yeasties in the beer must be the culprit. Now I feel real stupid. But hey, I got a great beer!!! As I said, it is very tasty. Thank...

    Feeling kinda sick after brew....

I use the sanitation product "Starsan". I think that's the name. It comes in a bottle that allows me to mix it in a concentration up to 5 gallons. Do you know of another quality product. I have a friend that uses 1 tablespoon bleach to 1 gallon water, but I prefer to use a product that is...

    Feeling kinda sick after brew....

Alright, I finally did it. I got a great kit for Christmas and brewed up a great beer, I think. Here is how it went. I have read tons about sanatizing being the true "KEY" to a good beer, so when I made this brew, I first cleaned the hell out of my kitchen, and even used the sanatizer on...
