I'm gonna make a mead using mountain do instead of water sooo say for a gallon batch I'm ill use a pound and 1/2 of honey melted down with say 1/3 gallon of water then the rest be mountain dew I think it would would and the sugar in mw would aid in producing food for the yeast and be sweet along...

Yeah the recipe I have follows with the traditional honey mead and added cucumber juices to it then a bit of spear mint or that "cool" taste in the cool cumber brew. If you make a batch, could you keep me on tab I'm writing down how my recipe does :D I'm super stoked I've got a lot of followers...

I would think cucumbers wouldn't stay white like that after 3 weeks, it looks like mold colonies are starting in it but it could be oils or the cucumbers like you all said I'm not to sure well thanks for the update :D

Well I thought I followed a gallon size recipe, I used a pound and a half of honey, 25 raisin, stick of cinnamon, pack of redstar yeast it's bread yeast, whole orange and a single clove. That's my exact recipe I used

I started a JAOM batch on the 31st of January and I wanted to have a little taste, so I took a little and it's super strong I let my dad have a taste and he says it taste like the sap from a mesquite tree. I presume it taste like that cause of the clove. Any ideas? I hate how it taste but,dad...

Soo I just emptied a 1/2 gal carboy and I'm ready to start a new batch and instead of buying grapes and mashing them my self can I just het some Welchs and use it instead?

Ooh it has cleared up a lot, it looks much better than the previous pukey yellow damn it's abv lvl is high and you saids already dried pretty much at 2 weeks my my they grow up so fast lolol any thanks for the update :D Cheers vahallasbrew2
